We stayed at Kicken Back over the Kings birthday long weekend whilst exploring the area.
Jai and Colin were extremely welcoming and hospitable and if lovely grassed sites by a picturesque creek in a peaceful valley are what you’re looking for then this place is for you.
Would certainly recommend.

We had a very peaceful stay at Kickin Back over the Kings Birthday long weekend. Jai and Colin are wonderful hosts greeting us at the gate, and showing us through each available site, as they are just short walk from thier house. Each site is easily accessible, large and flat that easily accomaded our two caravans and a swag. Jai and Colin have done a fabulous job making a serene camping experience for anyone.

Camping under the stars
We had a lovely time camping at Jai & Colin's place. The land is set against a beautiful backdrop in the high country. Our spot was at the back of the land near a running creek which was really peaceful, and we had plenty of privacy. Jai and Colin were lovely hosts and were very inviting. We'd love to come back and stay again!

Wow, what a beautiful hipcamp area Kickin Back is! As we entered the gate, we were taken back by the surrounding views and the lovely green lawn that covered all the campsites. Large ponds in front of the land with decks around, allow for peaceful sitting. The running creek just beside is a lullaby for a good night's sleep. The caws in the paddock and little sheep roaming around the greens add a lovely touch to the bucolic camping environment. Certainly, this was our best hipcamp stay till now. We couldn't have had better hosts than Jai and Colin. From their friendly greeting at the gate when we arrived to all their attention to make our stay comfortable. Jai's Shirilanka curry is a must-experience; it is so yummy!
Colin is a source of knowledge about the area, its environmental evolution, and other issues. Great to chat with. With no hesitation, we highly recommend Kickin Back as a place to relax on your holidays around the Victorian Alpine Happy Valleys. Thank you Jai & Colin.
