Only 10 minutes away from the Western Freeway you'll find the Lerderderg Lookout hidden at the base of the Lerderderg State Park. The property was titled in the 1970's and played host to horses and cattle over the early years before being rehabilitated and now being covered in a mixture of grass pastures and native bush. The property continues to be a sanctuary to native wildlife and is maintained to an ongoing excellent standard. Walking and bike riding tracks are less than 5mins away as the property sits at the base of the Lerderderg State Park.At less than 10 minutes from the Western Freeway and closest supermarket you will find your camping destination. On arrival you will see a roadside paddock less than 500m from the Lerderderg State Park and its phenomenal hiking and mountain bike trails. 2 Dams paddock has ample area for multiple campers and plays host to local wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and more! Walking into site is required but it is less than 50m to a prime position. Terrain is flat and trees will hide your view from the road.

An absolute gem, spent just the one night but wish I had done a couple more. Great location with beautiful scenery and only a short drive to the nearest town. 10/10 -Jay

Great spot
I was lucky enough to be here on my own. Plenty of flat grassy land. No problems at all with noise from the road. Cameron replied promptly to my questions. I loved it!

Fantastic bush setting.
Multiple walking opportunities, wildlife, peaceful and toilet and tap. Friendly host went above and beyond.

Loved the camp site, we choose a site in behind some trees, away from the (quite) road and near a clean toilet and water. Directions and the ease of an overnight trip from Melbourne was so easy. The proximity to walking trails was an added bonus.

Overall we had a good experience. Check-in and check-out was at a very generous time. Appreciate the clear instructions. Unfortunately we would have preferred some privacy given the road was right next to where we camped.
