Great place to stay and explore the area of Nowa Nowa. Lots of wildlife to see on the lake in a very secluded and calm area. Mike our host, was very welcoming. We would definitely recommend this site to others.

Great family escape on the river
Loved our quiet campsite with lake on one side and river on the other. Only two other sets of campers so we all had plenty of space. Mike was super friendly and encouraged our 4 teenagers to enjoy everything the place had to offer; kayaks, bikes, fishing, swimming, tennis. A perfect place to get away but still close enough to the local general store to get a morning coffee, stock up on bait, firewood and grab an icey-pole.

Great stay on the waters edge.
We Had a great time here, Mike was really helpful and attentive to us as guests and just an all round good fella. The camping area was fully booked at the time of our stay but didn't feel at all crowded. The location is great, we loved being so close to the river and able to walk our dogs straight out the gate along the waters edge. The water being high (at a historically high level due to the mouth not being open to the ocean at present) wasn't a problem other than making access towing a larger van into the camp area a tight turn, There were almost no mozzies at the time of our visit probably on account of the water being brackish. Lots of birdlife. Highly recommend a stay here and we look forward to being back.

Hook, Line, and Sinker!
Mike's place is an absolute jackpot, perched right by the river – a dream for any fisherman or paddler. Fancy a wander? The trails are gorgeous, and that old wooden bridge? Mind-blowing. But the real showstopper? Mike himself. This guy and his wife sprinkle magic everywhere with tiny touches that make your stay unforgettable. Plus, he genuinely cares about everyone who rocks up at his property. It’s like having your own personal fairy godmother, but cooler. Trust me, you'll be hooked!
