Nestled in the valley of a thousand hills, Strath Creek Station is your ideal quick getaway, being only a 1 1/2-hour drive from Melbourne CBD. Situated on 90 acres with direct access to the King Parrot Creek, we are dog-friendly and have a large secure dog park for your pooch to exercise and play, but dogs must be on lead in camping areas. There is a large flat camping area that can accommodate any size self contained caravan, including fifth wheelers or horse goosenecks. A large rustic rotunda with BBQs is available for those lazy afternoons spent relaxing by the creek. For cooler nights, there is a huge firebox.Bring your self contained camping vehicle (with greywater tanks if you can’t contain grey water please ask us for a grey water collection container we are happy to help you out ) and camp with security and peace of mind for yourself and your pooch. We have a large fully fenced off lead dog play area where you can let your pet run around & chase the ball & also with seating to watch them play . Enjoy easy access to the King Parrot Creek and take advantage of shelter in the large rustic rotunda with a BBQ and firebox. Strictly NO chemical or soaps to be used in or around the creek for example washing dishes, people bathing in the creek with soap. Our priority is to preserve our beautiful water ways and surrounding areas. If you wish to book a larger groups just book out the sites per head until full then book the next site & do the same , that way we will move the camp sites so you are all together. There's plenty of room for the kids to run and play, along with a large, secure off-lead dog park. Explore the region with hiking, bike trails, and wetlands. We also now have available local organic produce fruit ,nuts ,berry's, jams, just over the road & they make beautiful honey, free range eggs and kimmys beautiful home made bread. just preorder what you like and we can have it here ready on your arrival

Incredible near Melbourne
What a spot! Throughly enjoyed camping here for many reasons. First, the owners (Glen and Kim) are terrific - kind, genuine, generous and obviously hard-working. Second, the property is exceptional - beautiful, clean, manicured and BIG with many camping options along a very bendy river providing seclusion. Third, the amenities are brilliant - clean/stocked porta loos, fire pits, social areas and the owners’ guidance for local activities were great. I specifically loved the care and attention to the environment and waterways on the property. A very well organised property, experience and incredibly comfortable camping location - extremely convenient to Melbourne too.

Another great stay
This was our second time staying with Glen and Kim. As usual our hosts were fantastic the camp was well maintained and the surrounds pristine. Glen even helped out with a 12v issue I had and couldn’t be more helpful. Kim’s bread is a must. It just feels like you could be anywhere and only an hour from Melbourne adds to its appeal. Glen and Kim’s property is absolutely stunning. I camped in a great spot beside the creek with amazing views of the nearby hills. It’s a very picturesque and peaceful location. Caught a nice sized brown trout in the creek about 20 metres away from my camp. Kim’s homemade bread is out of this world so make sure to place an order before getting there. I solo camped but the property would be perfect for families with lots of space and a gorgeous communal area with lots of activities for the kids. I have camped at many hipcamps and I can safely say this is by far my favourite. Kim and Glen are amazing hosts and go out of their way to ensure all their guests have a comfortable stay. I’ll definitely be returning soon

I am not telling how lovely......
I was surrounded established native trees , kept company by the chatter of birds, lulled to sleep by the flow of the creek. Random weekend away felt like I rested for a week. Glen chose the spot and had my supply of firewood and fireplace ready. He brought over a warm loaf of bread prepped by Jill. I was with my bestie who was just as relaxed as I to chill away our time

This place is amazing do your self a favor and give it a go. The hosts are amazing we had a bad storm come through on are first day of camping and the host were more than happy to help. The camp grounds are great, the fishing is good, dogs are welcome, even the toilets are set up very well. Just bring some beer food and a bed and youre set. The sourdough bread is top notch too.
