Tranquil Waters Campground
Great, peaceful location
My family of 4 really enjoyed camping here in our van over the long weekend. Even with other campers on site, it was quiet, peaceful and we really felt like we were away from everything. There’s lots of different spaces you could camp, and it’d be a good location to camp with friends as there are some really large clear areas where you could stay together.
You cannot see the large dam from the campground, it’s set in a gully just down a path off the campsite. It’s very beautiful though and the family enjoyed attempting to catch fish, even if they had no success.
When leaving the campground, it is very difficult to turn left (the way you need to go to leave) in a large van, so you could just turn right and do a u-turn further up the road at the large clearing.
There were lots of fire pits around to use and whilst we brought our own wood, the kids enjoyed collecting sticks around the land.

Tree haven
Great bush camping. Very difficult turn into campsite with 19ft van. A new gateway for entry and exit would assist greatly. Jon was fantastic with directions. Plenty of room for campers, bring levelling ramps with you.

Tranquil Waters Campground
A great little camping spot. We went for a night and it was quiet and chilled. Jon was great in reaching out and ensuring we knew how to get there.

Tranquil
A lovely quiet camp site. We stayed on a weekday and were the only campers there, it was truly tranquil!

fantastic
Sensational destination. A recent convert to Hipcamp and its been sensational. Spent the last 40 years heading bush trying to get away from it all. Dealing with leaving early to get the site i wanted, having people camp right next to me, and people driving through at night, so decided to try Hipcamp. Solved every problem. A great way to camp.
About this place. Plenty of space for everyone, and nicely spread out. plenty of firewood provided and available at no charge, which certainly saves money and the inconvenience of bringing your own wood.
A clean and accessible pit toilet, while not flushing its a lot more than many campsites offer, and greta for the ladies i suggest.
Its a gently sloping block, with about half a dozen prepared sites. If you need a flat option there are enough, but if you can set yourself to work on a slightly sloping block by bringing something to level yourself, even more options open up.
There's a beautiful site directly opposite the dam, which would be quite pretty. Anyone else coming down to the dam would need to go through your site, but i suggest the occasional pedestrian would still make it worthwhile.
A great friendly host who lives close by, which should give even more assurance to female or solo travellers.
Reasonably easy to find, but follow hosts directions. Access was good by 4wd or conventional vehicle. Probably wouldn't be taking a Ferrari or Porsche in their during Winter. Its only the entrance that may be a bit of a challenge,
