We are a farm forestry property located in the middle of the north shore of Port Stephens. Two hours north of Hornsby. 1 hour north of Newcastle.  2 mins to Pindimar beach, 9 minutes to Coles and bottle shop, 11 minutes to surf beach, 12 minutes to Jimmy's Beach. Pets are welcome, but please pick up after them. Free firewood - Help yourself to what you need. The logs will need to be split as required. An axe and a wheelbarrow are supplied and are stored, in the firewood storage shed. - Every site has a fire pit. Hot showers and clean, decent toilets. Good mobile signal for Telstra and Optus networks. Two Communal Fridges and a cold communal spa. There is lots of space for campers so you will have privacy whilst you enjoy your camping adventure.  We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm. Good fishing. Pretty much everywhere you can wet a line. Prawns are best bait. If your dog is on the government list of restricted breeds or on the dangerous dog list please leave at home We have a gentle, well trained old German Shepherd who adores kids but after being bitten by another dog, now prefers to stay inside the house and not visit the camp sites. PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents. 2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking. 3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite. 4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. The reason being if you are a large group turning up late, you will ruin the camping experience of other campers who got there earlier to watch the sunset and just chill. Furthermore, the sunsets are one of the reasons people come here. Every single day it is totally different. If you arrive late you have missed it.... 5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a slope. We do have several flat areas for tents , hybrids, camper vans and small caravans. And we have 6 levelling blocks scattered across the sites. Dead flat is a concrete slab at any caravan park anywhere but here.

Guests have the use of a retreat shelter/fire place/BBQ area and wifi. Campers must try to be self contained bringing their own water, toilet and shower. Sorry, no caravans over 20ft. Suite solo travellers, couples wanting a quiet weekend and LGBT friendly. We do have available tank, rain water for drinking, a toilet and hot shower, microwave and free wifi available for those who cannot be totally self contained. "Willowbank" is a stunning 252 acre property located in the picturesque Karuah River valley with 1km of river frontage. The property has been in our family for 4 generations, being bought by Ian's great grandfather in the 1920's. We cater for guests that are looking to get back to nature and enjoy the great outdoors without feeling overcrowded! We want our guests to be happy and have the best experience possible. Located only 8 minutes drive from the historical town of Stroud which was settled by the AA Company in the 1820's as a food growing area. There are still many beautiful buildings from that period to explore. A dairy farm for many years, we switched over to beef around 15 years ago. Currently we run around 120 head of Angus and mixed breed cattle. Within 3 hours drive of Sydney and around an hour from the Barrington National Parks, Newcastle, Maitland, Forster and Nelson Bay, it makes it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway! We are offering 5 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river. You may get a visit from our horses, Dolly and Banjo and the cows and calves! Plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing. All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. You will need to bring your own camping toilet or self contained caravan/ camper (dump point is located in Stroud township) We hope to make your stay a pleasurable one with many happy memories made. Gateway is an open ,grassed, flat area with afternoon shade, we have tents sites available as well as room for RV's. Sites are allocated on a first in first served basis, please make sure to keep the entry way clear for other campers to enter and exit. Our 25 acre property is set on rural farm land adjacent the Worimi Conservation lands at the gateway to beautiful Port Stephens and the Tilligerry Peninsular making it a great place to base while exploring our beautiful paradise. We are located 40 mins from Newcastle ,20 mins from Birubi Beach Anna Bay the northern end of the 32 km long Stockton beach which is well known for its giant sand dunes and great surfing, you can also go for a camel ride while you are there ,it's 30 mins to Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay which has several beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Next door is Oakvale Wildlife Park and close by is Irukandji Shark and Ray Encounters and Go carts Go. A boat ramp to the Tilligerry river is 2.5 kms away which is a great area to fish and kayak . Popular bushwalking tracks are also nearby. Our local shops including a Bp foodworks, bakery, bottle shop, fruit and vege and Take away are 2.5 km away. Also close by is Murrays Brewery and Sunset Vines both with great food, wine, beer and weekend entertainment. We have a flushing toilet.Tank water is for onsite usage only and we ask that you are conservative with water usage. Electricity hook up is available within the campsite (bring an extension lead) BYO firewood and please be firesafe at all times Dogs are welcome, for the safety of others campers they must be kept on leash during your stay and please keep dogs away from all horses on the property. We do ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave, we do supply a bin for recyclables such as bottles and cans only. We are in a rural area so there will be mozzies so bring your insect repellant. Please be respectful to other campers, no loud music at night.
