Located in the high mountain, valley adjacent to and just above Joes Valley Reservoir, Joes Valley Campground is the destination for hiking, rockclimbing, and fishing! A boat ramp is within the facility, so strap on that floatation device and go for a spin—boating, canoeing, and water skiing are popular activities. Nearby, Joes Valley Resort offers grceries, a phone, restaurant, and watercraft, ATV, and bicycle rentals. Sportsmen’s Lodge has you covered if you forgot any camping supplies. When you’re making your way up there, keep in mind that the road is paved but narrow, twisty, and heavily used by climbers and fishers—so keep an eye out for pedestrains and vehicles parked on the shoulders.
