Redbank farm has been home to five generations of Superfine Merino wool Farmers. The charming homestead is set on 1000 acres of rolling hills, lush trees, and dams that offer plentiful grazing to sheep and cattle. Metcalfe's rural landscape still remains largely untouched, giving a real feeling of freedom and fresh air, filled with wildlife and sensational scenic adventures to enjoy, like the stunning cascades just up the road. Redbank offers sites across 200 acres of land, SITE 1 a main area offers 4 large sites suited to campers wanting to be super close to toilet, shower, camp kitchen, and playgrounds, which is a major hit with the kids making it a popular spot for families. The camp kitchen has dining space and barbecue facilities. There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. We have 4 sites that you will either need to be a self-sufficient camper, or keen for a hike to facilities as these sites offer a lot more privacy and would need 4wD to access. 2 more sites that you must completely self sufficient and have 4wd skills. We are a no trace camp ground and ask you to take all waste with you when you leave. Dogs are permitted in camps but must be kept on a leash to protect our livestock. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. BEYOND REDBANK156 Campers will find many more attractions in the area, Great spots for hiking, swimming, fishing or just straight up relaxing in the serenity. TRUPENS waterfalls are close by CASCADES and the Coliban River runs through Metcalfe AND EPPOLOCK just up the road. A short drive of 10-15min in all directions will take you to one of the funky little historic towns Kyneton, Castlemaine, Redesdale, and Malmsbury, and another 15 mins on to Daylesford and Trentham all filled with brilliant restaurants, cafes, vineyards, vibrant retail and market scene. What more could you possibly need for a great getaway?

Redbank156 Farm
We had a really lovely stay at Crystal's in June! There were two other groups there but our sites were so far apart that it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Such a gorgeous property, and so many thoughtful touches! I didn't use the hot shower personally, but my friend did and she said it was great - almost like having a shower in the comfort of your own bathroom.

Staying Crystal was an incredible experience! She was very accommodating to our needs and even going above and beyond. We were able to make many core memories with the space that Crystal has created. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic facilities and camping!
Beautifully maintained and well loved farm and camp sites. There were quite a few campers but we felt very private. Toilets and hot showers were great. We stayed at ‘rams land’ which was fully fenced with a dam and our dog was able to roam securely off lead. Crystal and Ian are great people, very hospitable and came down to let us help feed cows and have a chat. Will definitely return to this fantastic site!

PITCHED Canvas Cabin 1
Nice place
Very well set up. Great views. Facilities walking distance away and other sites far enough away for a few other campers to be seen but very rarely heard.

Great spot to camp with a group and plenty of options for sites. We loved being far enough away to feel isolated, but within walking distance of a toilet. The hot shower got rave reviews from some of the group! It’s definitely a great place if you’ve got a mix of camping experiences/comfort levels. Crystal was really helpful and happy to sort out additional fire wood, as well as providing jumper leads to deal with a flat battery. Lifesaver! We were also really grateful that they accommodated for dogs and were happy for our collie to be off lead as long as she didn’t disturb stock or other campers. She had the best time chasing her ball round all weekend and got plenty of running time up and down hills. We had a great weekend and would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to camp in the area.
