Little Round Valley Campground
Description
As you ascend San Jacinto, your second to last hike-in camping option is Little Round Valley. Perched at 9700 elevation, Little Round Valley offers 6 sites and the definite potential of snow.
Plan accordingly with layered gear. Enjoy the lightness of thin air, endurance trekking, and the satisfying feeling of accomplishment. Day use wilderness permits are free and are available at the State Park Headquarters in Idyllwild or at the Long Valley Ranger Station. Overnight permits can be applied by mail 1-8 weeks in advance.

How the campsites are reserved?
Yes, I went by myself on July 21 and it was so hard I had to make a 2 day trip a 3 day to rest in between...whew! I wrote a review with pics. haven't seen it posted yet.
