Weekend Trip to Tiny Secrets Farm & Retreat

Very cute and quiet spot! We initially booked 2 nights at Tiny Secrets but extended another 2- the location was perfect for us to bop around to all the places we wished to visit on the Sunshine Coast- from Gibsons to Egmont. We liked that it was off the highway, quiet, and our site was tucked at the top of the property and received a lot of sunshine. A perfect and humble spot for a weekend getaway.

What a beautiful spot! The cabin was cozy for my family of 4 and a dog but was a great “in between” camping and an Airbnb. So many thoughtful touches the kitchen really has everything you need. The facilities were clean and shower water hot! We hiked every day with the Smugglers Cove a big hit. Truly a magically little area of BC. We will be back!

We stayed in the renovated school bus for the weekend. The whole property is like a magical little get away and the bus was comfy and cozy during the rain :) The owners were friendly and the dogs and chickens kept us entertained. Come for a weekend to enjoy some of great hikes in the area or just take the time to rest in this little paradise- you won’t regret it!

4 nights at Tiny Secrets Farm & Retreat

We stayed in the A-frame micro-cabin for 5 days. We are already dreaming of our next visit! Despite getting the "atmospheric river" vacation treatment, it had virtually all the amenities you could ask for in for a rainy day of off-grid living. It was beautiful and felt quiet (minus all the chorus frogs at night :D) and luxurious. The hosts were responsive and friendly, we even got some doggo time as they let their dogs roam near the chicken coop. Couldn't ask for a better "glamp" experience!

I loved our stay on this magical school bus! Karen and Tito had the bus cleaned and ready before we’ve arrived. They provided us with clear instructions and a guide for our stay. Although I did not get a chance to meet them, they were extremely communicative through text to ensure we arrived safely. This is one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had. I also had the best sleep of my life! I would recommend this to everyone that is looking for a glamping experience.

The bus is adorable and cozy! There were some issues, apparently caused by some recent inclement weather, but the hosts are incredibly sweet and were very responsive to fix things as they came up. The "magic sack" was an especially nice touch to help unwind, and that bed is insanely comfortable! Many thanks to Karen, Kito, and Amos.

I cannot express enough how special my stay at Karen and Kito's Tiny Secrets Farm & Retreat was. The Cabin's are unique and very well designed for comfort, fun features and a joy to stay in with windows all around for viewing the forest. The Micro cabin was a cozy, healing space for me with environmentally respectful features such as rainwater collection for the sink and water filter, compost for food scraps and compost outhouse. The layout of the farm's cabins and tent sites is sensitive to the natural layout of the land and creative touches are everywhere. I am definitely coming back again for a beautiful and restful stay. Thank you Karen and Kito.

I loved the Schoolie. We stayed there for two nights but would have been happier with much longer. It was cozy, warm (even in December), and had everything we needed - from kitchen supplies to wifi. The hosts were gracious, generous and responsive. And the sunset wasn't bad either. It was a beautiful escape and I'll treasure the memories. Would certainly recommend. Thank you :)

The RV sites are for RV's that are self-sufficient without the need for electricity nor water in or out (no dumping and there is no running water nor an outhouse at RV sites). RV's will be parking on grass and the site requires levelling. We can accommodate vehicles up to 39ft in length. Have your choice of bringing your own tent or using ours! New Glamping Dome Tents with Queen Sized Beds, table and chairs and hammocks including a covered counter for cooking . Unplug and Unwind to the sound of breeze through the trees and romantically flowing water from the nearby creek. There is no cell service or electromagnetic disruption here which makes for a beautiful peaceful mountain retreat. Bring your telescope for the opportunity to see clear, off the grid skies and epic star viewing for the astronomer in you. The bookings are quite private and there is a lot of space between sites. If one of the Dome tents is booked, I block off the other so you'll be the only ones on the whole gravel pad area. There are trees and visual space blocking anyones' view between sites Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park is walkable from our farm and there you can hike, fish, swim, paddle, and more! The road is a gravel road in winter would require 4x4. Otherwise we've seen many EVO cars (Prius Hybrid or fully electric Kia Niro) and even fancy Teslas and BMW sedan's on this road.

In a cedar grove, nestled among the ferns, a lotus belle tent awaits you. A unique bed and breakfast in an off-grid tent. Inside the belle tent there is a comfortable double bed with clean sheets, plump pillows, and a warm Pendelton blanket. A 'west coast homestead basket' with granola, fruit ,and farm eggs is provided for a nutritious breakfast. A Berkey water filter provides delicious water from our mountain well. Inside the tent, a comfortable chair looks out over the mossy forest toward the creek. There is room to stretch, and a couple of yoga mats to use. A stretch is especially nice after exploring the nearby trails through Mount Maxwell forest. The trails take through a varied and fascinating forest. Along the way are mossy knolls with vistas of the valley, ocean, and Vancouver Island. One trail leads all the way to Burgyone Bay. The belle is an off-grid seasonal tent with electric candles for lighting and a composting toilet. At night there are solar string lights--should you want them--which illuminate the path to the tent. On clear nights, turn the lights off to star-gaze through the branches.
