2 nights at Escape to Golden Ears Glamping

We needed a few days away from the city for some fresh air and natural beauty, and we definitely got it! The bath under a canopy of trees was magical, and the white noise of the rushing river knocked us out every night. Highly recommend!

Hosts were wonderful and receptive when we showed up a few hours past check in. The property is well kept and contains many exciting features including seating by the river, grill deck overlooking the river, and a beautiful hot tub. The inside was well stocked and cozy for the cool night. We enjoyed our overnight stay and hope to return soon!

Great amenities and location . Easy to locate with helpful staff on arrival. Wifi (which a international traveller relies on) was a hit and miss dropping in and out but didn’t effect the overall stay by any means

My wife and I really enjoyed staying in the suite. Sitting in the the hot tub in the evening while listening to the sounds of the river and wildlife was fantastic. We will have to come back in the summer to really appreciate the property when it's not cold and rainy!

It has everything you think you might need, (even a pull up bar!). The hosts were thorough in explaining amenities and were always available to lend a helping hand. I would definitely come back around summer time when it’s a little less rainy.

Hi, my name is Dave. My family and I would like to welcome you to Nile Point, a secluded campsite located on 20 acres of privately owned, oceanfront property on Nelson Island, BC. I consider it the closest thing to paradise. The first you'll need to know about this property is that it's only accessible by boat. This is what makes the campsite so secluded and peaceful. Transportation to and from the island is included with your stay. The stunning 15 minute boat ride to and from Nile Point is one of the many things that makes this a truly unique experience. The second thing you'll need to know is that we offer TWO SITES on the property, a 10x16 TENT PLATFORM and a OCEANFRONT CANVAS TENT WITH ENSUITE (NEW!) with king size bed, in-tent ensuite bathroom and fully stocked outdoor kitchen with potable water, bar fridge and BBQ We have one canoe, one one-person kayak, and a paddleboard. Bring your own water exploring devices if you wish. Our beach is rocky (it ain't a sandy beach!), so bring your good water/rock shoes! This is a great place to stay and explore if you love the wild. It's off the grid, so if you want to unplug from devices and do nothing but relax or play in the ocean and explore the forest, it's perfect. That said, there is cell reception should you need it and a solar charger if you need to charge your devices. There's free parking at the pickup/drop off location in Egmont. Egmont offers a pub, a fancy restaurant, and a charming convenience store with wi-fi. We can take you in to town during your stay for an additional charge. We affectionately call this place “The Tardis” because its transformation from an RV, gutted into a modern cozy hi tech space with a cozy county feel, an outdoor kitchen / living / dining / hot tub areas in a forest setting. It’s got super high speed Internet, 2 TVs, a faux fireplace. Inside a live edge old growth cedar counter with Italian tile, modern connected features, fireplace, heat pump, flooring and great feel. Private inside a 5 acre estate with grounds and a private forest. Everyone loves this space. Tech wise there is super fast ethernet straight to the unit at around 600 download for zoom calls. There is also a super fast wifi for exclusive mobility, 2 flat screen TVs, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus. The space is really idea for 2 people however there are 2 bunk beds in a smaller space that could accomidate smaller children or other smaller stature adults that don't mind a small bunk bed sleeping area. A lot of remote worker like this place. It's faster and quieter than home surrounded by nature. We've focused on the outdoor area covered and private decks outside giving it the feel of an outdoor living, complete with a new BBQ, outdoor living room / seating area / kitchen. There is a private soft tub for comfy soaks.

Explore the historic staging grounds for a Wild West cattle auction, where the cowboys drove the herds onto trains at the end of the KVR line! Please respect nature as wildlife, flora, and dangerous terrain are part of our environment; explore at your own risk. There are hot showers and flush toilets for guest comfort but require a short walk to access. Campfires are banned but we provide propane cooking and living utensils. Although Okanagan nights cool down effectively, we have used science and shade in designing these rooms to dissipate heat.
