Our 33+ acre, picturesque, tranquil property is situated in the Tamihi Recreational Area just south of Chilliwack, British Columbia. Three sides of the property are heavily forested with the Chilliwack River bordering the fourth side. It's only 20 minutes from town but far enough to enjoy the peaceful and serene offerings of nature. The property has a 20 x 60' covered picnic area, a large beach suitable for swimming in summer and fall, and it is also a world-class fishing spot. It has unlimited mountain trails and logging roads for ATVs, mountain bikers/hikers and with Class I - IV rapids, is also a fantastic area for whitewater kayaking and rafting. The national kayaking team trains just up from us and Chilliwack River Rafting is very close by. We occasionally host weddings in the meadow and covered picnic area as well. Your QUIET, well-mannered, leashed (at all times) pet is welcome as long as you pick up after them. There is a minimum of 3 nights on long weekends. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! We are in a very sensitive, natural environment & want it left exactly as you found it so it can be enjoyed by others. We've unfortunately had children cutting down small trees, ripping moss & bark off of trees & damaging playground equipment. For some reason Hipcamp doesn't show my individual sites, so I will list them here. Some say Adults only (a minimum of 19 yrs)due to sharp drop offs to the river and undercut banks that would be unsafe for children. SITES: Site 21. Adult only site (19+) 17'W x 63'L with a wider portion at the end and some to one side. (measurements of that to follow) Private, with gorgeous wide open view of the river, Pairs well with site 45 and 21. Site 23. .Adult only site (19+) 66'L x 12'W but the end 23' is 27' wide and a wing to one side. (abt 13 x 17') Private, and nice view of the river, Pairs well with site 45 and 21. Site 25 Across the road from the river, but still with a river view. 37 W' x 32'D Site 26. Across the road from river with view, 20'D x 31'W + an extra 9' W x 15'L strip across the front. Site 27. Quite private, but connects with Site 28. 38'W x 52'L Site L1. Adults only (19+) This site has a beautiful full view of the river. 39'D x 23'W connects with L2 on the left and; 48 on the right. Site L2. Adults only (19+) Beautiful river view! Connects with L1 on the right. 39'D x 20'W. Site L4. Adults only (19+) Private site with full river view. 30’L x 35’W Best for under 25' due to a narrow entrance. Site L6. Some river view through the trees. Semi-circle, 28’D x 42’W Fairly private, but visible to L6. This site is suitable for smaller units (under 20'). Site C2. Only 2 campsites on this road, so it's very quiet and private but it adjoins Site C1. 33’ D x 30’W plus 9’ x 21’. We have a couple of our power sites also listed on Hipcamp under a different listing as well as one of our group sites that had to have it's own listing as well. Hayward Farms

We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, some chickens, a shepherd named Jack and a few cats. Our property backs onto Hayward Lake which is great for paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. There are hiking trails to Ruskin Dam and around Hayward Lake. You can also enjoy fishing/floating across the street at the Stave River. You can also take a short drive (5 minutes) over the Ruskin Dam where there is a parking lot and a well groomed trail which takes you to a sandy beach area…perfect for children. Just be sure to get there early to secure a spot. Rolley Lake is also nearby…about a 10 minute drive, which is also great for having a picnic, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. It has a large designated swimming area too. A little further, at the North end of Hayward Lake is Hayward Park. This is another perfect picnic area with a large sandy beach area and designated swimming area. There are change rooms, showers and bathrooms. Lifeguards are on duty. Please get there early to get a spot. 2 km down Hayward Street, headed south, is a Starbucks as well as a few gas stations, Subway, Triple O’s and a Beer and Wine Store. Mission City is a 10 minute drive from our property. Please note that the trails to the lake from our property are not OUR trails and we are not responsible for grooming them. They are in fairly good condition and is a forest hike. The hike to the lake is about a 5 minute walk. There is one steep section so please make sure you wear proper footwear. The water access is from the shore. There is no beach at this location. You simply access the lake and either swim or relax on your floatation devices. Our driveway is a narrow, winding, uphill, gravel driveway that is 3/4 km long. It does have a few potholes (which we maintain annually). There are a few hairpin corners which can make it difficult for inexperienced drivers and for larger vehicles. Four-wheel drive is recommended, but not necessary. Take the corners wide and avoid cutting the corners too tightly. Avoid stopping on the driveway and just go slow and steady. We have 7 campsites to choose from, we hope that you enjoy your stay! Site 1 - Is located on one of the deep, hairpin corners of the driveway. This is a future glamp site location. This site faces the Stave River (west) where you have gorgeous sunsets. Site 2 - Is located above Site 1 at the next hairpin corner of the driveway (about 300 feet away), also facing west. This is also a future glamp site location. PLEASE NOTE THAT SITES 1 AND 2 ARE JUST OFF OUR DRIVEWAY, SO PLEASE EXPECT SOME MINOR TRAFFIC. THESE SITES HAVE A ROUGH TOILET SYSTEM - 5 GALLON BUCKET WITH WOOD SHAVINGS AND SNAP ON TOILET LID. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. Site 3 - Our WEE LITTLE CAMPSITE. This is our smallest campsite. It too is located on our driveway; just adjacent to the driveway. Late spring and early fall you get beautiful sunsets. This site is good for 2 adults only (NO KIDS). It is located just above a large downhill slope. It too has a Rough toilet system / compost toilet. Again, because it is on our driveway please expect some occasional traffic passing by. We can make arrangements for you to park your vehicle elsewhere if you find the site is too tight…just send us a message. Site 4 - Is a field site located at the top of the driveway, immediately to the right. This is currently our largest campsite. It is a good spot for larger groups. Has a compost toilet as indicated above. Again - bring your own toilet paper. Site 5 - Is located at the top of the property behind the stables. It shares a pit toilet with Site 6 which is nearby. Please bring your own toilet paper. Sites 5 and 6 are perfect to book together if you have a larger group. Site 6 - Is located at the top of the property, behind the stables. It shares a pit toilet with site 5, which is nearby. BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. These two campsites are perfect for larger groups. These two campsites are closest to the trail that leads to the lake. Please note that the trail is not our property and belongs to BC Hydro. Some of our other campers may be walking through to access the trail. Note that sites 4, 5 and 6 are in proximity to our neighbours house, however there are a number of trees that do block the view to the neighbours house. OVERFLOW SITE - This site is reserved typically for campers with small children as it is located in our fenced in yard. No pets are allowed in this area. This has a compost toilet so please bring your own toilet paper. Note that we get our water from our shallow well. This well typically runs dry in the summer months, so we do not have drinking water available. We do have non-drinking water available at the house which is good for washing dishes if needed. However it is best that you bring your own drinking water. We do have plans for a more permanent water system in the future. Given that we are a small hobby farm we do have some chickens and a rooster. The neighbours also have a rooster so do expect to hear them early in the morning…this is part of the camping experience. We are also about 5 km from the train tracks and you will hear the trains occasionally at night. Note that we do not allow smoking on our property simply to avoid the possibility of a forest fire. We do have two sit-on kayaks to rent if interested. If at any time you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us! We hope you enjoy your stay!

Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk. We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi. Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug. We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, and more! The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here. We look forward to hosting you!

Past our campground is the beautiful Nahatlatch provincial Park which contains Francis lake, Hanna Lake and Nahatlatch Lake. The lakes offer an abundance of activities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and paddle boarding. The first lake is about a 15-20 min drive again on gravel road. 2 wheel drive accessible until 21km on the forest service Road after 21km you will need a 4x4, if you plan to travel to Grizzly falls or the 3rd Lake. Hidden Creek Rabbit Farm

See you in 2025! we unfortunately learned last year that folks could not get up our steeper dri\/eway after the frost and snow started. As we are already getting below freezing temperatures so will be draining our trailers now so no more camping till the spring thaw. yet if you think you could get here w/your own equipment send us a shout and we will try to accommodate you :o] We are 8 minutes north east of PRINCETON BC, or an hour south of Aspen Grove BC. Define ourselves as a Christian couple and a rabbit farm, that would like to share our area with people who enjoy getting into the forest. We do not have dogs, cats or other outside pets so we frequently see deer grazing on our landings. Our property is located 28 Km off the main Hwy 5A on a highways maintained gravel road, some potholes exist! Though we have 3 camping options to choose from, we will block off 2 so whomever books first has the entire site to themselves- and can make check in and check out times flexible. Camping options are a larger 24 ' Rv for families or groups that sleeps up to 6/ a smaller 22' RV trailer for singles or couples sleeps 3. In addition to the RV we have on grid and an off grid areas for tenting, your RV's or van-life if preferred. Our driveway climbs up 100 meters off Summers Cr Rd and is quite secluded. The camping area is like a triangle- a narrow driveway over our creek that opens to a landing 100 feet long and 50 feet wide at the opposite end. Beyond the landing we are all hills and valleys with LOTS of rocky areas to explore, the terrain is uneven so bring sturdy hiking boots. Our small Hidden Creek runs through the property and you can hear it at night. We have also developed 2 hiking trails -one 3 km and one 9 km, both follow our creek to the top of our mountain- that you can explore independently or join a guided hike. After your hike enjoy a soak in our mineral filled hot tub- yet please no soaps or shampoos- hot tubs are not like a Jacuzzi. A Jacuzzi might tolerate such chemicals and just fill up with fun bubbles, but hot tubs are different. The motors and filters might get clogged and ruin the tub. We fill the tub with spring water from our creek and we only add Epson salts. We also have a few older bikes you can use to ride to the beautiful 7 km long Missezula lake, 3 kms north. Or rent our 16' canoe/ life jackets included/ to go out on the lake. Missezula Lake is one of our favorite summer places to cool off! Princeton area is renown for Copper Mining and we have many green rocks on the ground everywhere that are copper! We have been told there are also a few old mining caves on, or above our property, we have so far located one.

Our 33+ acre, picturesque, tranquil property is situated in the Tamihi Recreational Area just south of Chilliwack, British Columbia. Three sides of the property are heavily forested with the Chilliwack River bordering the fourth side. It's only 20 minutes from town but far enough to enjoy the peaceful and serene offerings of nature. The property has a 20 x 60' covered picnic area, a large beach suitable for swimming in summer and fall, and it is also a world-class fishing spot. It has unlimited mountain trails and logging roads for ATVs, mountain bikers/hikers and with Class I - IV rapids, is also a fantastic area for whitewater kayaking and rafting. The national kayaking team trains just up from us and Chilliwack River Rafting is very close by. We occasionally host weddings in the meadow and covered picnic area as well. Your QUIET, well-mannered, leashed (at all times) pet is welcome as long as you pick up after them. There is a minimum of 3 nights on long weekends. Children MUST be accompanied by a parent at all times! We are in a very sensitive, natural environment & want it left exactly as you found it so it can be enjoyed by others. We've unfortunately had children cutting down small trees, ripping moss & bark off of trees & damaging playground equipment. For some reason Hipcamp doesn't show my individual sites, so I will list them here. Some say Adults only (a minimum of 19 yrs)due to sharp drop offs to the river and undercut banks that would be unsafe for children. SITES: Site 21. Adult only site (19+) 17'W x 63'L with a wider portion at the end and some to one side. (measurements of that to follow) Private, with gorgeous wide open view of the river, Pairs well with site 45 and 21. Site 23. .Adult only site (19+) 66'L x 12'W but the end 23' is 27' wide and a wing to one side. (abt 13 x 17') Private, and nice view of the river, Pairs well with site 45 and 21. Site 25 Across the road from the river, but still with a river view. 37 W' x 32'D Site 26. Across the road from river with view, 20'D x 31'W + an extra 9' W x 15'L strip across the front. Site 27. Quite private, but connects with Site 28. 38'W x 52'L Site L1. Adults only (19+) This site has a beautiful full view of the river. 39'D x 23'W connects with L2 on the left and; 48 on the right. Site L2. Adults only (19+) Beautiful river view! Connects with L1 on the right. 39'D x 20'W. Site L4. Adults only (19+) Private site with full river view. 30’L x 35’W Best for under 25' due to a narrow entrance. Site L6. Some river view through the trees. Semi-circle, 28’D x 42’W Fairly private, but visible to L6. This site is suitable for smaller units (under 20'). Site C2. Only 2 campsites on this road, so it's very quiet and private but it adjoins Site C1. 33’ D x 30’W plus 9’ x 21’. Washtock Family Campground

Nestled in the pristine Nahatlatch Valley between the Nahatlatch River and Fraser River. Washtock Family Campground offers rustic camping from tents to RVs. We are an ATV friendly campground with ride in ride out accessibility. The campground offers pull through RV Sites with non-potable water and septic connections. We are off grid so we have no power/electricity connections but allow generators. We have space for big groups or just a quick get away for two, we can accommodate you. We have flush toilets and outhouses as well as a hot shower for guest use. We have a small store on site with your regular camping goodies, Ice, seasonal vegetable, as well as farm fresh eggs and all natural free range beef from our farm. We are located 13km north of Northbend which is across the river from Boston Bar BC. Once you reach Boston Bar you will Turn left at the Esso and cross 2 sets of railroad tracks bringing you into Northbend, from Northbend there is about 6km of paved road after that there is 6km of gravel road until you reach our campground. Past our campground is the beautiful Nahatlatch provincial Park which contains Francis lake, Hanna Lake and Nahatlatch Lake. The lakes offer an abundance of activities such as fishing, kayaking, canoeing, swimming and paddle boarding. The first lake is about a 15-20 min drive again on gravel road. 2 wheel drive accessible until 21km on the forest service Road after 21km you will need a 4x4, if you plan to travel to Grizzly falls or the 3rd Lake. Beach over looking the water. Several local hot spots close by, such as waterfalls, golf courses, lakes, skiing and many other tourist destinations.

Hayward Farms

We have a 7 acre developing hobby farm currently with fruit trees, a garden, some chickens, a shepherd named Jack and a few cats. Our property backs onto Hayward Lake which is great for paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming. There are hiking trails to Ruskin Dam and around Hayward Lake. You can also enjoy fishing/floating across the street at the Stave River. You can also take a short drive (5 minutes) over the Ruskin Dam where there is a parking lot and a well groomed trail which takes you to a sandy beach area…perfect for children. Just be sure to get there early to secure a spot. Rolley Lake is also nearby…about a 10 minute drive, which is also great for having a picnic, canoeing, kayaking and paddle boarding. It has a large designated swimming area too. A little further, at the North end of Hayward Lake is Hayward Park. This is another perfect picnic area with a large sandy beach area and designated swimming area. There are change rooms, showers and bathrooms. Lifeguards are on duty. Please get there early to get a spot. 2 km down Hayward Street, headed south, is a Starbucks as well as a few gas stations, Subway, Triple O’s and a Beer and Wine Store. Mission City is a 10 minute drive from our property. Please note that the trails to the lake from our property are not OUR trails and we are not responsible for grooming them. They are in fairly good condition and is a forest hike. The hike to the lake is about a 5 minute walk. There is one steep section so please make sure you wear proper footwear. The water access is from the shore. There is no beach at this location. You simply access the lake and either swim or relax on your floatation devices. Our driveway is a narrow, winding, uphill, gravel driveway that is 3/4 km long. It does have a few potholes (which we maintain annually). There are a few hairpin corners which can make it difficult for inexperienced drivers and for larger vehicles. Four-wheel drive is recommended, but not necessary. Take the corners wide and avoid cutting the corners too tightly. Avoid stopping on the driveway and just go slow and steady. We have 7 campsites to choose from, we hope that you enjoy your stay! Site 1 - Is located on one of the deep, hairpin corners of the driveway. This is a future glamp site location. This site faces the Stave River (west) where you have gorgeous sunsets. Site 2 - Is located above Site 1 at the next hairpin corner of the driveway (about 300 feet away), also facing west. This is also a future glamp site location. PLEASE NOTE THAT SITES 1 AND 2 ARE JUST OFF OUR DRIVEWAY, SO PLEASE EXPECT SOME MINOR TRAFFIC. THESE SITES HAVE A ROUGH TOILET SYSTEM - 5 GALLON BUCKET WITH WOOD SHAVINGS AND SNAP ON TOILET LID. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. Site 3 - Our WEE LITTLE CAMPSITE. This is our smallest campsite. It too is located on our driveway; just adjacent to the driveway. Late spring and early fall you get beautiful sunsets. This site is good for 2 adults only (NO KIDS). It is located just above a large downhill slope. It too has a Rough toilet system / compost toilet. Again, because it is on our driveway please expect some occasional traffic passing by. We can make arrangements for you to park your vehicle elsewhere if you find the site is too tight…just send us a message. Site 4 - Is a field site located at the top of the driveway, immediately to the right. This is currently our largest campsite. It is a good spot for larger groups. Has a compost toilet as indicated above. Again - bring your own toilet paper. Site 5 - Is located at the top of the property behind the stables. It shares a pit toilet with Site 6 which is nearby. Please bring your own toilet paper. Sites 5 and 6 are perfect to book together if you have a larger group. Site 6 - Is located at the top of the property, behind the stables. It shares a pit toilet with site 5, which is nearby. BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. These two campsites are perfect for larger groups. These two campsites are closest to the trail that leads to the lake. Please note that the trail is not our property and belongs to BC Hydro. Some of our other campers may be walking through to access the trail. Note that sites 4, 5 and 6 are in proximity to our neighbours house, however there are a number of trees that do block the view to the neighbours house. OVERFLOW SITE - This site is reserved typically for campers with small children as it is located in our fenced in yard. No pets are allowed in this area. This has a compost toilet so please bring your own toilet paper. Note that we get our water from our shallow well. This well typically runs dry in the summer months, so we do not have drinking water available. We do have non-drinking water available at the house which is good for washing dishes if needed. However it is best that you bring your own drinking water. We do have plans for a more permanent water system in the future. Given that we are a small hobby farm we do have some chickens and a rooster. The neighbours also have a rooster so do expect to hear them early in the morning…this is part of the camping experience. We are also about 5 km from the train tracks and you will hear the trains occasionally at night. Note that we do not allow smoking on our property simply to avoid the possibility of a forest fire. Living Large on Chilliwack River

Enjoy the beautiful acres right on the Chilliwack River! A wonderful family-friendly (including pets!) getaway with endless activities nearby. Our campsite is available in the spring and summer and is just 20 minutes from the city of Chilliwack, BC. We provide a fire pit and campfires are allowed as long as there is no fire ban. The sites are quite private but there will be other campers nearby. We try to keep a large amount of space between sites and some are separated by trees. We are a walk in tent only site- parking is very close, 30 second walk. We can also provide access to electricity so you can charge your phones or other devices if needed. There is no cell reception, but we do have wifi. Potable water is available. We supply natural spring water but you must bring your own jug. We live in an adventure playground! Activities nearby include hiking, white rapid river rafting, fishing, watching bald eagles, Cultus Lake water slides and adventure park, mountain biking, and more! The stargazing at night is beautiful as there is no light pollution here. We look forward to hosting you!

Where to go

Sasquatch Provincial Park

Sasquatch Provincial Park is a beloved region known for its collection of small lakes, stunning second-growth birch forests, extensive biodiversity, and of course, stunning views of BC’s imposing mountain ranges. Spanning more than 1,200 hectares, Sasquatch Park has something for everyone—boat across the lakes (or take advantage of paddleboard rentals in town), enjoy a day of tranquil fishing, or choose from three light, on-site hikes. Afterwards, enjoy an evening at a riverside campground or glamping spot—ideally, complete with a hot tub.

Mount Outram

For campers in search of a more challenging hike, Mt. Outram is the go-to spot. Featuring over 18 kilometres of trails to explore, this rugged hike displays BC’s natural beauty. Find the way through uphill switchback climbs through the pine, cedar, and fir trees until finally breaking into the subalpine region. From here, technical skills are required to handle the final scramble, navigating boulders and scree to finally reach the unbelievable vista at the summit. After a tough hike well done, relax at a creek campground, recreation site with full hookups and firepits, or a quiet RV park.

Silver Lake Provincial Park

If undeveloped, wild nature is the draw to BC, then Silver Lake Provincial Park tops the list of must-see locations. At 77 hectares, these lakefront lands are home to countless species of plants and animals (including black bears, so proceed with caution), as well as breathtaking views of nearby mountain ranges. Silver Lake Park is a great spot for a boat cruise, canoeing trip, or for a short hike and a picnic to take in the beautiful Skagit Valley.

When to go

Camping season in Hope, BC is best enjoyed in late spring, summer, and early fall. Since Hope is located in a temperate rainforest, other times of year tend to be very rainy (on average 20 cm of rain per month in the winter), with many parks and attractions closing for the off-season. Large crowds aren’t really a concern in warmer months, however, there are natural hazards active in the season (such as black bears and ticks).
