Song Bird Ranch

Song Bird Ranch is a premier destination for bird watchers, with over 65 species of birds catalogued.  Deer frolic in the grasslands during the summer season, great for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers.The location of our property allows guests to enjoy the best of both the Okanagan Valley and the Boundary Country. We are located just 35 minutes from the beautiful beaches and vineyards of Osoyoos, 20 minutes from the beautiful Kettle River and 10 minutes from Mt Baldy Ski Hill. When guests are seeking to soak up nature and wildlife, you won't need to leave the property. The seventy-five-acres, include, pine and larch forests, wetlands and trembling aspen groves. Trails wind through the different areas allowing for photo opportunities.  You are welcome to say hello to our horses, our chickens and our sweet golden retriever. We are happy to have canine guests; however, for the safety of our resident pets, we require prior approval. The property has many resident squirrels and chipmunks. Other wildlife, such as Whitetailed deer and moose pass through regularly. Occasionally a bobcat, lynx, bear or elk venture through.

We acquired the 22+ acre property to develop a nursery for Chinese medicinal plants.

We are less than five miles from the highway between Omak and Tonasket.  The county-maintained road up to the 22 acre property runs through a beautiful canyon (McLaughlin Canyon).  Deer, eagles, coyotes, and more wildlife (there are rattlesnakes in the area as well).  Wide views all around - to the West are the Cascades.  Lots of space to hike, and climbing opportunities as well.  We are developing gardens and a nursery for Chinese medicinal plants, starting this year (2018).  Your host can introduce you to Chinese herbal medicine.  We have a nice dog.

Two E.’s Land

Located a thousand feet above the scenic Okanogan River Valley, and nestled up against State owned land, our little seven acre hippie homestead here on the western slopes of Mt Hull is just a few hundred feet from a year around creek and has an incredible view of the river valley and the many mountain peaks of the Okanogan National Forest and the Pasayten Wilderness. We're on a bench with a couple acres of nice flat grass covered fields.  Sagebrush, Ponderosa pines, and Chokecherry are prevalent plant species.   Deer, coyotes, red tailed hawks and the occasional rattlesnake wander across the land now and then, and sometimes we seethe Big Horned Sheep that are a protected species here.

Plenty of forest and woodland creatures around here! I was approached by several deer during my stay.

Similkameen River Camp

Previously owned by the same family for over 50 years and recently Purchased By Nick and Ashley Vowels in 2017. just recently
started 
to build a little farm
with vegetable gardens and a small flock of chickens. We also have a small music venue for festivals.

Eden Valley Guest Ranch

Eden Valley Guest Ranch strives to preserve the culture and heritage of the Okanogan Highlands. The Ranch and Farm provides a window into the history and current state of American Family Farming. This active agricultural operation raises cattle, small grains, hay and timber.  It also provides abundant wildlife habitat and a reserve to numerous species of birds and animals. We have 2 acres above the Similkameen river with awesome views of the surrounding mountains.

We offer fishing and hunting licences as well as local arts and crafts in our little store.

A picnic table and fire pit are at the site as well we offer ice and firewood for sale. 

The river is a short walk down the path where there is a large area to swim,fish or just relax. 

The Historic town of Hedley is just a 2 minute drive west bound and Princeton is 20 mins away.
