We are a short drive away from beaches and boat launches. Shuswap marina is a 5 min drive. Hiking trails are all over the area. 20 minutes to Salmon Arm and 45 minutes to Kamloops. It has a lovely forest area, alongside sprawling fields that are dotted with beautiful wildflowers throughout Spring and Summer. Another delightful feature of our home is a swamp that displays a spectacular array of bird wildlife in the spring and early summer. A bird watcher’s dream! And, if you are lucky, you may even see deer, beaver, bear, coyote, Marmot, or Western Painted Turtle roaming the property, all have been seen on the farm at one time or another, so keep your eyes peeled! We are close to amenities but are far enough out of town to provide a quiet and restful retreat from the hum and drum of every day life. Summer in the Okanagan. The Klinker Opal Property is located in the mountains approximately 40 kilometres by road from Vernon, BC, and is situated at an elevation of about 1500 metres above sea level.All trips to the Klinker Opal Mine leave from a pre-designate site, and you must have your own vehicle. The property is readily accessible by most two wheel drive vehicles but parts of the road is very rough.
