An expedition sea kayaker and expert rock climber with more than 20 years experience giving clients a unique look at our province, it's my pleasure to introduce you to my favourite spots. Our sailboat is spacious, comfortable and fun... ready when you are. We also own an off-grid camping area 45 minutes south and have made a hiking trail to an epic location which I have been developing for climbing over 10 years. Kayaks and fat bikes to rent... we can fill a week with outdoor activities and make memories you'll never forget. This farm is a school of life. I am happy to share what I have learned about growing food, and my wife is an amazing cook who can teach how to make Korean food. Lots to do to fill a week, or just kick back in a hammock for a day by the pond, writing journal to reflect, soaking in the peaceful feelings. There is a trail starting on the right property line (looking AWAY from the road) you are welcome to explore about 1km back into the woods. We encourage you to Hike to Waterloo Lake (about 2km), there are nearby waterfalls and trails, Lake George is close by (day-use fee), as well as Harvey Lake (free park, swimming + boat launch). While in the area we also suggest you check out the historic Kings Landing! Harvey Station and Frederiction are nearby for all your camping essentials.

Naughty Pines Getaway

Located on Harvey Lake Naughty Pines Getaway is situated on Coburn Island. With the closest neighbour 350 meters away, this is one of the most private and secluded spots you will find on this lake. To reach the island there is a 2 km trip over water so you will need to bring your own watercraft. For those that make the trip there are plenty of spaces among the large trees to pitch your tents or hang hammocks. The ground is covered with evergreen needles and twigs of various sizes, there is no grass, so bring appropriate footwear. I also recommend water shoes when swimming. There are some sharp rocks just off the shore where we normally swim. There is a trail going from one end of the island to the other. Following this trail you will probably see an old loons nest, usually with the egg shells still present, and bones of various creatures that the eagle has consumed. You will see a bald eagle’s nest and most likely the bald eagle. If you are there in the spring you will be able to hear the chicks in the nest. Just sitting around and enjoying the peace and tranquility you will see squirrels, various birds, ducks and loons going about their business. If you don’t see a loon you with certainly hear them after the sun goes down. There is a fire bowl there for you to use. Small fires only, the ground cover is very flammable when it's dry. It's usually dry so it's recommended you dose the ground underneath the fire bowl as he has caught on fire before. Pets are welcome to roam free, please scoop their poop.
