Quietly nestled near a spring fed pond brimming with fish, turtles, and frogs; this Tiny House is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. With close proximity to Toronto, this is off-grid unplugged-relaxation at it's finest. The space is functional, very rustic, and a bit of a work in progress. There is a wood stove to keep the space somewhat warm in the cooler months, a 2 burner propane cook top stove and kitchen essentials. There's a BBQ and grill over the Fire Pit for your cooking needs. It is a 5-7 minute walk from the parking spot to get to the cabin. Being avid hikers ourselves, we realize that there are not a lot of accommodations just off the Bruce Trail. So our main goal is to assist hikers as they explore the Bruce Trail. Whether you are doing the ‘end-to-end ‘ in one go (Bravo!), or doing a more relaxed multi day hike, our little bunkie will be a welcome place to lay your head at the end of the day. Our forest bunkie is nestled in the woods, a few minutes walk off the trail, and conveniently located approximately at the half way point of the Caledon Hills section. You truly feel like you are one with nature here. At night you may hear the coyotes howling in the distance or hear the local raccoons out on their nightly stroll. You have complete privacy at the bunkie. However, if you need assistance our home isn’t too far away. Please note that it is an off-grid bunkie…which means no electricity! We do have lamps available in the bunkie, however bringing your own headlamp or flashlight is recommended. There is a cute, private outhouse w/ washbasin. We have an outdoor shower a little ways away from the bunkie site, with hot water. There is a double bed in the loft. The pull out couch on the main level also can be converted to a double bed. There is no running water at bunkie, however we will have some potable water provided. You will be met upon arrival. PLEASE NOTE: *There is a strict NO fire rule anywhere on the property. *There is a hill (w/some forest stairs) that you will have to navigate to get to bunkie site. Mono Mills is 6 minutes away w/ Starbucks, Tim Hortons, gas stations, pizza. Hockley Village is 7 minutes away, with the must visit Hockley Valley General Store. Orangeville is 15 mins away for all food and supplies you may need. We can assist w/ Bruce Trail (Caledon Hills Section) pick ups/ drop offs if we are available.

Forest courtyard with fire pit, cooking grill and picnic table. 20-second walk to a VERY clean and private outhouse. Cabin is solar powered. Electricity for lights and phone charging. Firewood and water for drinking and washing all included. The forest cabin has walls made of straw bales covered with plaster. It feels like you're inside an adobe building in southwest USA. Deep window sills with curved corners. Built in 2002, it's one the first straw bale buildings in Ontario. It's as gorgeous today as the day it was built! Our 50-acre slice of heaven has it a bit of everything for your private retreat. Trails, forests, fields, meadows, rolling hills, and panoramic views. We live at the front of the farm property, pretty far from the cabin. So you have privacy, but we're available by text or phone if you need us. Want some quiet time? Looking for a slow down space? Kick back in the cabin or take stroll on the quiet forest trails. Interested in local food? Explore our organic vegetable fields, check out the greenhouses, or hang out with our happy chickens and sheep. Ready for a unique dinner experience? By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. We now have decided to add some sites for rent to share this incredible property with others outside the water ski community. Site #1 is a small cabin that sleeps 3 and site #2 is a small houseboat that has been converted to a bunkie. Onsite activities include use of a canoe and paddleboard. Use of a kid's swingset and olympic trampoline. Swimming and fishing. Pets are welcome, campfires are permitted.

The space Welcome to Cabinonthe9. The main room measures 13 ' by 10.5' and includes a wood burning stove in the back left corner. In the winter this serves as the main heat source with an electric heater as a backup. The space has a loveseat, coffee table and dining table along with a leather chair. The back room includes the main entrance, kitchenette and bathroom that has a "Airhead" compost toilet, designed for #1's only, a short walk to the main house for private washroom and shower facilities Please note there is ONLY WiFi I in the main house and not the cabin. There is a ladder leading to the loft that might be uncomfortable for some people to use. To make the climb easier, consider bringing your slippers or wearing your shoes if you experience any discomfort while ascending. Guest access Guests will have access to the shared kitchen in the main Victorian House. Please be mindful of your cook time to allow other guests equal opportunity at kitchen use during meal times. Please clean up after yourself, including dishes, as a courtesy to other guests. You will find a coffee maker, tea kettle and Nespresso machine for your warm beverages. We also supply the coffee/tea/sweetener while guests supply their own milk and cream at the cabin. If more food storage is needed, guests are free to use the large fridge/freezer in the main kitchen as well as refill water, restock dishes/cutlery etc., and fill the dishwasher. The main house is only 2 minutes from the cabin and guests have access to the house along with the private washroom facilities and a fully equipped gym. Other things to note Important: Cabin bedding will be provided for you to make your bed. Please note that the cabin door can only be locked from the inside once you are in the cabin, not the outside. The farm is a 100-acre working livestock and organic mixed produce farm with picturesque views, miles of wooded trails, and a beautiful little fish pond. Fresh organic veggies and farm-fresh eggs are available seasonally. Guests are welcome to wander the trails, check out the pond and gardens, and have a guided tour to experience meeting the animals. Nearby are several conservation areas and access to the Bruce Trail. Walking, biking or horseback riding is very pleasant on the quiet country roads around. There are many local fairs and festivals in the surrounding villages, such as the Beeton Honey Festival and Tottenham Bluegrass Festival. We have three different listings, a cottage, a barn loft, and a tent/RV site. We look forward to hosting you!
