Rustic Cottage on Sandy Lake Creek

If you are looking for a true rustic cottage experience; this is it!  What use to be a sheep farm over a century ago is now a great escape for those who love the great outdoors which includes Sandy Lake Creek, to having the option of exploring the private 32 acres which is behind the cottage.       

Wildwood Cottages

Wildwood Cottage sits on 6.5 acres overlooking Otonabee River. In the spring summer and fall we have 6 cottages and 2 bunkies. November to April we keep 3 cottages open with hot tubs and wood burning fireplaces. You can watch the birds off your porch, go for a swim at the beach, use a complementary canoe or even rent a boat or seadoo to explore farther!

In the summer months we offer a swimming area equipped with kayaks and water inflatables. In the winter, there is a skating rink when the weather permits! Generally Jan & Feb. Dec and Mar the weather sometimes is not cold enough.

One of the best things to do any season - sit at your own fire pit and enjoy the clear sky full of stars while listening to the sounds of natures. 

We are also pet friendly!

The campsite is located on a lot nestled in trees approximately 1 hour from Toronto. 

LAKE
Canal Lake is a lake of Ontario, Canada, situated in the City of Kawartha Lakes. 

HISTORIC MONUMENTS
The "Hole in the Wall" bridge was built in 1905 and is also known as the Canal Lake Concrete Arch Bridge. It was designed by the federal Department of Railways and Canals. It is located on Centennial Park Road on the southwest side of the Trent Severn Waterway bridge, northeast of Bolsover. The bridge was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1988. 

FISHING
Canal Lake is a medium size lake with a large diversity of fishing spots. There is a variety of fish available including largemouth bass, pike and muskellunge (muskie) and an abundance of panfish.

• Bolsover is home to the Western Trent Golf Club 
• Check out Bexley Golf Centre just west of Coboconk & Balsam Lake Provincial Park. They are a Butter Tart Tour stop!

The fall colours around this town is absolutely breathtaking at this time of the year(we visited in October)

Lake Cottage Getaway

This cozy, tranquil cottage is surrounded by gorgeous lake views. Sitting on the edge of Lake Scugog, there are many activities to enjoy nearby including fishing, boating, swimming, paddling, and more!There are also plenty of adventurous trails just minutes away from the cabin where you can hike or bike. The activities nearby are endless.The cottage is located in the middle of Port Perry (a 20-minute drive) and Lindsay (a 25-minute drive). The cottage is equipped with a couch, bed, tv, mini-fridge, coffee maker, electric cooktop, sink, and cooking utensils. Other amenities include potable water, a toilet, shower, picnic table, and wifi. Campfires are permitted and pets are welcome.I look forward to hosting you and sharing my little slice of paradise with you!

North Mountain Estate

These woods are magical, especially in the winter.  It is quiet and peaceful and host to an array of wildlife.  

There is a steep valley on the east side of the property  which is lovely to look at but guests should avoid getting too close to edge.  It is recommended that guests stay to the north and west sides of the property.Learn more about this land:Come and enjoy life at its finest! With an abundance of trails and a lovely setting for camping, this property is perfect for the avid hiker, the avid camper, the avid fisherman. If you want a little more adventure, there is plenty of space for a canoe trip or a day on the water. Fishing is always a good option as well.
