Braemar Valley Nature Sanctuary

A nature enthusiasts private 18 acre backcountry-style getaway. Located in the beautiful Braemar Valley- 10 minutes from Woodstock, Ontario. Pine/oak/walnut stands, babbling brook, wildflower fields. 3+ km's of hiking trails through the forest, along the fields, across the creek and overlooking the valley. Cyclists can try out the km's of scenic gravel roads in the area. The camp site is located in a creek-side wildflower field surrounded by silver maples, cottonwoods and pine stands and has a thunder box, picnic table, and fire pit. Pets are welcome so long as they are controlled and cleaned up after. Check out our youtube channel to see all the animals on the property: MsBackyard. ZERO TOLERANCE policy towards disrespectful behaviour to the land or neighbors. FYI regarding Deer hunting season. There's no hunting permitted on the property but there is on adjacent properties, so you may hear activity in the area. Please be aware of this before booking during the following weeks: Controlled deer hunt (shotgun) November 4 to November 10 December 2 to December 8 If you want to check out a nearby restaurant, the Brick House Brew Pub in Woodstock is less than 10 minutes down the road!

Secluded Starry Nights

Located in the hamlet of Mosborough on 113 acres, this is a working farm with open fields, an old orchard, and 27 acres of forest. We are a short drive to Guelph Lake, the Elora Gorge, Guelph to Goderich rail trail, and a 25-minute drive to St Jacob's farmers market. And a 1.4 km walk to a small country market and bakery. A great site for families that you can call home and plan day trips around the area, or hang out at the campsite. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. We have 3 campsites that are spread out on 4 acres of grass. 1 site is used for temporary summer trailers, 2 are for camping. Pets are welcome, but keep them on a leash. Please remember to remove all garbage and recycling from campsites, a compost bin is available on site by the garden. A portable toilet is available from May 15 to the end of thanksgiving weekend in October. We look forward to hosting you!

Tranquil and Private Camping

Learn more about this land: Park at the stream and take the bridge to your camp site equipped with gazebo, seating, picknick table and fire pit. Enjoy relaxing at either site along the stream - -both are included at the same price for additional privacy. You are also welcome to bring your well-mannered canine friends with you at no additional cost. Please note that pets must remain on the camp site and encourage the use of either leashes or tie outs. This property is also part of a hobby farm that is home to Nigerian Dwarf goats, calves, sheep, ducks, chickens, turkeys and bunnies. It may also be possible to take the goats for a walk around the property and should be arranged ahead of time. This area is also home to plenty of deer and other wildlife. For convenience, firewood and farm fresh eggs can be provided at a small fee. Varney Conservation area, abandoned CN Railway track and Pebbles restaurant are also a short walk away. Camp site is wheelchair accessible; however, toilet is not.

You will have access to clean water to swim in (no soaps or detergents in the pond please, we also swim in the pond regularly so we might see you in there!), clean water to drink + wash dishes in, lots of safe flat parking for cars and camper vans, lots of safe flat grass for tents, a giant forest, views of a few beautiful horses doing their own thing on our pastures (do not feed them or go within the fenced off horse areas), loads of birds, dragonflies, butterflies and more! We require quiet after 9pm, and before 9am. No excessive substance use please. No substance use if you are going to swim. Private simple camping toilet/outhouse setup with view of nature. Water for washing hands. No shower. We moved here because we thought it was beautiful, and we hope to share that with others. We live here, and enjoy the water and land every day.
