Imagine crystal clear blue skies, snow-capped peaks, refreshing lakes and rivers, and a lush valley. Fuzzy Buddy Ranch is the perfect spot to camp! We have large area cleared for RVs, trailers, tents or camper van dispersed camping sites. The ranch has ten 30 amp power sites with lots of room to turn around and most you can drive right through without having to back up. Views of mountains in every direction with lots of wild birds in the area. We have horses, cows, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats at the ranch. The small working ranch is in the Rocky mountain trench with the Rocky Mountains to the east the Caribou range to the east and the Monashee Mountains to the south. Maps available in Pictures we and no longer have pre set up tents (eagle tent sunset tents spots are available for off grid camping) Nearby activities include hiking, biking, climbing, fishing, paddling. The site is 20 minutes from Mount Robson Provincial Park (Berg Lake trailhead) and just over an hour to Jasper National Park. Valemount townsite is 15 minutes away and is home to a renowned mountain bike park, Three Ranges brewery and excellent restaurants such as the Cariboo Grill. Fresh farm eggs may be available. Welcome to Rocky Mountain Escape Log Cabins Rentals near Rock Lake Alberta !! We are available all year round. Rock Lake Provincial Park. 70km NW of the nearest town (Hinton). You will enjoy peace in quiet in this remote, private, and off-grid location. Our cabins are in a forested area surrounded by mountains. Set apart amongst the trees for privacy. Savour the sound of silence and smell the trees. Beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and stargazing at night! Rock Lake is only 7km from the camp where you can enjoy awe-inspiring views of Alberta's Northern Rockies while fishing, boating, mountain biking or hiking. There is no TV, wifi, or cell service. Each cabin has indoor plumbing, toilet, shower, hot and cold running water and a wood-burning stove. All cooking is done on the deck of the cabin using a griddle. Propane supplied. All firewood, kindling, bed linens, towels, pots/pans/cutlery included. Tap water is potable. Please note, a 4WD vehicle is recommended to access the site. Sub-Alpine area in front ranges of Alberta Rockies. We are located 1 hour and 30 minutes from Jasper National Park and 3 hours from Mount Robson National Park. We look forward to hosting you!

About

Today the Yellowhead Pass is a valley corridor containing a highway and railway beside crystal clear rivers, through dense forests under rugged peaks links Jasper town site and the provincial border of British Columbia. In the past the low elevation made for easy movement for Indigenous peoples, fur trappers, railways and explorers. The name Yellowhead is the nickname of a fair-haired Metis-Iroquois-freeman named Bostonais, active here in the early 1800s.
