Collin’s Wood is a very special place indeed. The land was bought by my grandfather years ago when he moved to Canada from England and wanted to chase his log cabin dream. Our main cabin my family built from trees on the land, entirely by hand. We have photos of the trees being cut and the bark being peeled off. Since then, we’ve made many changes out there, we now have a guest cabin that used to be a Teacheridge (back when teachers would live in a one room building beside the school), eventually it was turned into a cafe and now it sits on our land as a guest cabin. This place is so magical. With a quarter section of land I grew up running through the forest with my friends and learning about what the land has to offer. My parents have spent every spare weekend out there making this paradise into what it is today. All the buildings were created by my family through labour and love. We’ve hosted weddings, and family reunions. We hope you appreciate how special this place is. Come see for yourself!

Forest Treehouse at Collinswood

Woodbend Campsite

Beautiful, quiet camp site.

I brought my 2 boys for their first camping trip to this site and we had a great time! The view is awesome and there are lots of great places for kids to explore. Very quiet, the only sounds at night were the sounds of nature. We will be back!

What a gem of a place. So much natural beauty and cool character. Definitely recommend booking a massage!! Our only regret is not booking in a longer stay. It was perfect!

Shady Nook-Site 1

Lovely piece of land. The hosts are welcoming and respectful. The sites are well shaded and everything felt very private. The larger site we were just able to squeak our RV into. The approach doesn’t allow for getting anything in over the recommended length. However site #1 is very spacious and reasonably level for a rustic site.

We loved staying at Collinswood retreat. The property was beautiful with so many fun and quirky hidden treasures. Geri was super hospitable and made our stay great. The camp site its self was perfect for our overnight stay!

Shady Nook-Site 1

Peaceful

It’s quiet, it’s peaceful and beautiful. Love the walking trails There is a cool Tree house -self contained A royal outhouse with a large selection of books. I didn’t get out to the yoga platform but as I understand it, it’s quite peaceful. This place is west of Bowden not actually Red Deer. - Clearwater County.
