Experience true seclusion in a remote, picturesque setting. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to enjoy a private, nature-filled retreat in the Canadian Rockies. With access to a creek, 3 waterfalls and a surrounding forest, this is the perfect place to escape the busyness of city life. Spend your days exploring the waterfalls and the iconic Blaeberry River! Follow the Waterfall signs to get to the first waterfall then go up the canyon to see the other ones. The Blaeberry River offers gentler rafting and paddling opportunities. There are also SUP, kayak and canoe guided tours and rentals nearby. There’s plenty of hiking, fishing, paddling and biking to enjoy. We have 3 different listings available an off-grid cabin, 2 yurts or a tent site with 3 different campsites available. We look forward to hosting you!

The Off-Grid Green Yurt in the Woods
Yurtin' in Golden
What an absolute treat this was to find, a little mountain oasis! There are no shortage of cozy cabins, yurts and camp spaces here at the Canadian Rockies Retreat. Had everything I needed in order to enjoy my stay as well, lots of amenities provided and a lot of new spaces going up that look wonderful. Tim and Anthony were very helpful during the stay and knowledge about the wildlife in the area. Looking forward to returning to stay in the Sleepy Bear Cabin! Looks delightful!

Sleepy bear RV pad
Simple RV Pad in the forest, easy Check-in, a lot of privacy, very nice location. The short hike the nearby waterfall is a must! We really enjoyed our stay and recommend it!

Sleepy bear RV pad
The property is in a great location to golden and all its amenities, and was easy to find. The RV pad however was very close to the road and the pad has been rutted out from vehicles. We did head up to the waterfall and the other camp spots are further up the property and more private, I would consider those stays over the RV pad in future

Camp here.
10/10 would stay again. We drove in late at night and we were able to find the place easily. There were some previous reviews that suggested questionable roads, however I navigated easily in a little Kia Rio. The site was a very short distance from the car park. Well treed with lots of privacy. Could see the other campers through the trees if you were looking but over all felt private. There is a lovely little trail that leads to a stunning waterfall. We did have to pack in our own firewood which I’m sure is the norm for most places. Out house is at the end of the trail. The area seems well kept and clean. It was quiet and peaceful. Looking forward to returning.

Sleepy bear RV pad
Rustic
Good location for secure camping close to Thompson falls trailhead. Level campsite large enough for most overlanding rigs. Fire ring near the back of the campsite. About 100 meters up the road from a nice and clean outhouse. Lots of clearing going on in this area for future real estate! The road in is packed dirt and very easy driving. The site is only about 20 meters off the road, but not too noisy. Easy access from the road. Spent two nights and I would camp here again.

Off-Grid Cabin with Waterfalls
Mice. Atleast 3. All night. Great amenities and area. Would be a 10/10 if not for mice
