In the Forest with an ocean view
Ron made my friends and I first experience excellent. We had no clue what to bring or to expect and Ron gave us an ideas what to expect and what we should bring to have an amazing time. The best ways to escape everything and just chill. You spend the day hiking around, maybe finding a cool stream or a perfect spot to relax. When night comes, you gather around the fire, roasting marshmallows and just hanging out under the stars. The whole vibe is so calm and laid-back, far from the usual noise of life. Itâs the perfect mix of adventure and downtime, giving you a chance to connect with friends and nature in a way that feels real and refreshing. Ron also has great information about things you can see on ur day to day experience giving you some interesting facts/ information. I would totally recommend you to come here and you can experience the Hot springs very refreshing and calming state!

In the Forest with an ocean view
As a first time camper Ron was very helpful.
While the boat ride may seem expensive but it is definitely worth it. A $600 boat ride split up was not very costly at all and is even comparably cheaper to other sites in tofino. With Ron he will also include a hot spring trip. The boat ride with Ron will always be my go to option when I go back, it is much more comfortable and relaxing when you are on a boat with your friends/family plus Ron (Who is a very fun person to talk to). He has a beautiful land and has a perfectly set up site. It is truly so peaceful, and the night sky is something I have never seen in my life. Ron is very open minded and understanding, you can ask him anything, no need to feel embarrassed or scared. He is a very kind and generous man, he made our group feel very comfortable and like we were at home, which is very important to my friends and I as we are first time campers and young. Ron knows his land very well as he is a capable survivalist himself. Should anyone have forgotten anything important like a sleeping bag or tent, Ron will make sure to help you out to make sure your trip is not ruined. Anyone looking to make an escape from life should look into this site and contact Ron, as he will be able to accommodate to many of your needs and questions. Overall having Ron as a survival guide/host has enhanced our trip to something more special and will always be remembered.

Must see
Stewardson Inlet is a must see if youâre in BC looking for an escape. Sits about 50 KM away from mainland with no light pollution making it perfect for stargazing. My group went late September, it was cold and water activities were pretty out of the question for our first time camping group. However, Ron whoâs a very well versed survivalist and host always had something we could do or somewhere we could go. His french bulldogs and other compatriots are all also very welcoming and caring attitude towards anyone whoâs camping on the land. Great people, great place and great escape.

Nexus of adventure & hospitality
Stewardson Inlet âView of the Inletâ is the perfect nexus of adventure, local culture and hospitality for campers.
From our first communication via Hipcamp, Ronâs warm vibe and superb hospitality made us feel like family ~ including our two pups! He was prompt for arrival at the boat launch and stepped right in to help us load our gear into the boat. When we arrived at camp, he guided us to our tent pad and surprised us with a little tasting from the land.
He shared the secrets of the inlet including a waterfall hike to the campâs water source, foraging for fresh oysters, an exclusive sunset visit to hot springs cove and a private excursion to an abandoned logging camp on a private island. We enjoyed campfire company, shared stories of our adventures and learned about the land and local First-Nations communities. Whatever adventure you are seeking, Ron will be your guide!
On the final day of the trip, my orca sighting dream came true as I saw a large orca breach behind the boat on our trip back to Tofino. Despite the timetable of return, Ron generously gave his time and allowed us to watch two baby orcas and their parents hunt along the shores of Flores Island.
All in all, Ron is a steward of the land and a contributor to his local community. We look forward to returning to this magical place and seeing everything Ron has in store for the land come to fruition! We couldnât have picked a better place to spend our 10-year wedding anniversary with our fur babies.

An Incredible Other Side of Tofino
It can't be understated: visiting Stewardson Way is a bucketlist experience. An extremely scenic boat ride from Tofino leads to a pristine Mecca of activity + beauty hosted by the charismatic and knowledgeable Ron & Mandy. While simply soaking in the beauty would be enough to make the journey worthwhile, there is a plethora of things to do including hiking to multiple waterfalls, exploring abandoned logging camps, paddling around and exploring the inlet, going on scenic boat rides looking for sea caves and wildlife such as otters and cetaceans, stargazing with no light pollution, visiting nearby Hot Springs Cove, fishing, waterskiing, and the list goes on. The spacious tent pads are some of the best places you will ever have the pleasure of pitching your tent, with amazing views of the inlet and warm sun rising in the morning to dry the dew. We were lucky enough to see a porpoise mother and baby while boating one evening, as well as able to spot a lone porpoise swimming by directly from our tent pad. Thereâs a tap to fill up your water, or be like us and fill up from the many streams on the property (filtering recommended, of course). Ron and his team have done a great and on-going job of fostering a fantastic environment to relax in nature and truly experience the west coast, without hordes of tourists. If youâre wanting to visit Hot Springs Cove, do yourself a favour and call up Ron to not only visit the cove, but stay a night or two just a quick boat ride away. 10/10 time!
