A perfect getaway from Nanaimo (45-minute drive) or Victoria (1-hour drive). We are pleased to offer cabin and tenting sites as well. The cabin is 140.00 per night. We offer 24 extremely private campsites that can accommodate 35 people and are easily accessible by car. While camping with us you’ll have access to a fire pit, firewood, cedar gazebo koi pond and the tranquil sound of our west coast frogs at night. and a picnic table to comfortably enjoy your meals. We also have a wood bbq and basic cooking utensils for your stay. We’re a family-friendly camping experience and have plenty of activities on our property including hiking, swimming, mountain biking and more. Nearby you can explore the world-famous Cowichan River and Lake Cowichan. Within a short drive, you’ll find even more hiking and biking trails and tubing and swimming options. Facilities misrepresented

This was truly a terrible experience. Listing stated there would be toilets and showers. None of these facilities existed.

To good to be true.

Quite surprising…. It would have been very nice if the host had told us that he couldn’t provide what he has in his description at the time of the booking. It states he has a kitchen, showers, TV hookup etc. We really looked forward to a shower and asked upon arrival where we could find it. We learnt that another person has access to the little cabin that has the kitchen, shower etc. so it wasn’t available for us. We had to ask for an electrical hook up, and we did get a cord. Also, we asked for the wifi, but it wasn’t working…. (Distance..). It also said water, sewer hookup available, and potable water and bins. Maybe it was there, but most likely at the location where the other camper and the little cabin was. No information was offered. It did have a very nice gazebo and a big fireplace. I think between the two of us staying there we will have two different reviews, due to totally different experiences. Please honour what you are offering, or offer a price adjustment, or at least an apology. We would most likely not go there again.

Great stay in an amazing location

Such a fun location with tons of activities nearby. My daughter and I enjoyed catching frogs, rainbow trout, and cray fish at the river that was a quick drive away. The facilities at this campground are amazing and very nicely setup for small groups!

Sensational de Paradisio

Mike was a kind and generous host. We had the place to ourselves, so there was plenty of privacy. We loved the peaceful garden at the top of the knoll, a great spot to chill and grill and listen to the ravens, after cooling off at a river or hiking a new trail. A hot shower and flush toilet were most appreciated!
