Step into the serene embrace of the "40 Acre Woods," where tranquility and privacy await among winding trails and towering cedars. Our quaint cabin, complete with a wood stove and outdoor fire pit, offers a cozy retreat nestled in nature's embrace. Opt for the convenience of optional power and make use of our small private outhouse. Relax with a good book, explore the surrounding trails, or simply bask in the peace and quiet of your surroundings. The cabin features a main level with a comfortable couch, table, and fireplace, while the upper loft provides a cozy, rustic sleeping space. Outside, gather around the fire pit, sway in hammocks, and lounge in comfortable seating as you soak in the natural beauty. Escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and unwind in this idyllic setting, where time slows and nature's wonders take center stage. We would like to remind our guests the cabin space is rustic and centrally located in the woods. Please do not forget your bug spray. We caution all our campers to be mindful of ticks especially between the months of May-Sept when they are more likely to be sharing the wooded environment with you. We can't wait for you to come enjoy a little piece of our heaven.Enjoy a night (or more) in a secluded cabin staying in true nature only a stones throw inside the cedar forest edge. Initial limited firewood and generator fuel provided with additional available for purchase. Base bedding provided. You will require pillows and blankets Fresh drinking water in 5 gallon bottle with dispenser. Area for dish washing - water provided and more available upon request at no charge. Loft sleeping, with main floor social area. Fire pit with grill top. Hammocks to relax in. Board games and cards. We encourage you to check in before dark as it can be more difficult to orient you to the site, while this isn't mandatory it certainly makes things easier! Enjoy time away from, well, everything! Miles of established trails to hike and intense privacy awaits you.

Mixed Forest/Cedar Forest Cabin
We enjoyed our stay at the property. Both, Sarah and Mike are welcoming and very helpful. The generator ran out of fuel around, 10:30pm, and Mike refueled it in less than 5 mins. Complete privacy and the view of the stars is just breathtaking. We will be back Soon :)

Beautiful cabin among the cedars
We loved our stay here. It is a very quaint, beautiful, and unique little gem. We were greeted by Sarah and Mike upon our arrival and they led us to the back of their property. We took a path surrounded by wildflowers and grasses and parked near the outhouse. The rest of the path was on foot, about 100 feet, towards the cabin. It’s a really fun “secret path” that feels quite magical. The path has Edison bulbs alongside it that can be turned on using the generator that is provided. At the end of the path is a clearing in a beautiful cedar forest. The cabin is fairly new and nicely furnished with comfy furniture, a coffee table, dining table and chairs, lots of cozy blankets and a few cupboards. There was fresh drinking water, as well as water for washing dishes. Upstairs in the loft are two comfy queen beds with beautiful quilts. All we needed to bring were pillows for bedding. We brought cast iron pans, and all of our own dishes and silverware and cups. There is a grill on the fire pit which is all we used for cooking and coffee etc. There is propane available for an extra cost but we were fine just using the fire for cooking. The house cannot be seen from the cabin. Its a really nice quiet spot. We heard coyotes both nights we were here. The provided firewood was really good quality. Nice and dry and lots of it. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. They suggested some nearby beaches and we were able to borrow a corkscrew when needed. We’d lo to come back again!

Best Trip!
This was a dream trip! Amazing spot, nice and private, well lit and decorated. There was power, a beautiful fire pit with tons of firewood, chairs to sit around, water ready to go. The cabin is insulated and cozy and clean. The spot is much nicer than the pictures make it look, and to top it off the hosts are very nice and accommodating! Cute animals on the property as well :) will definitely be back!

Mixed Forest/Cedar Forest Cabin
My partner, dog and I absolutely loved staying in Sarah’s cabin. It was secluded in the forest, option to use a generator for electricity, our house near by. Overall very peaceful and quiet. The cabin itself was cozy and spacious and we really enjoyed playing the trivia games provided and sleeping in the loft. Location wise, we loved Orillia and HIGHLY recommend spending a day or two at Couchiching Beach! Sarah and her husband were very friendly but gave us complete privacy. We loved every part of our 5 day trip.
