Like most folks who’ve been bitten by the water ski bug, I dreamed of having my own lake and when I met my life partner Harald, an elite slalom skier, my search began in earnest. By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. We now have decided to add some sites for rent to share this incredible property with others outside the water ski community. Site #1 is a small cabin that sleeps 3 and site #2 is a small houseboat that has been converted to a bunkie. Onsite activities include use of a canoe and paddleboard. Use of a kid's swingset and olympic trampoline. Swimming and fishing. Pets are welcome, campfires are permitted.

Bunkie on Privately Owned Ski Lake

First thing I’d like to say is the owners seem lovely. The property has potential. The cabin is cute and has air conditioning. Also there is a dock in front of the cabin with a Canoe and a play set not too far but far enough I couldn’t let my kids go by themselves. Down side was the out house. It was far and seen better days. The sofa bed was a bit dirty. Looked like maybe a wet dog was on it before and it’s stained. Every time we put something on the kitchen counter ants would surround it. There was also mice droppings. Not the owners fault, but made the kids and myself a little uneasy. Our favourite spot was the dock in the listing pictures with the patio furniture and swings by the water. Unfortunately an hour in a large group of water skiers came and we had to leave that area. Knowing we couldn’t use that, the water or the canoe until they left and my kids didn’t feel comfortable sleeping there at night (or using the out house) we left after only a couple hours. My kids were so excited for a quiet mommy and daughter get away. We purposely went mid week after reading in the reviews that it would be quieter. I guess it’s hit or miss. It just wasn’t meant to be for us.

The entire trip was very good! Everything was clean and very and well kept. The host was super nice. The only thing I would change was the weather. It could of been warmer. I say take the trip!!

Little Houseboat

Beautiful, Charming “Glamping”

This was a beautiful plot of land with a lake just 20-30 mins from Niagara Falls. There are several houseboats along the water—we stayed in the smallest one. It came with basic cooking utensils/pots/pans, and a gas stove! There was also pullout sofa (BYO bedding). The sofabed had definitely seen better days, but we were able to sleep comfortably, and if you don’t like sofa beds, there’s plenty of room outside the houseboat to pitch a tent. You also get a fire pit and a screened picnic table for meals. There is a port-a-potty with soap and toilet paper nearby as well. Teresa was a great communicator and answered all our questions within minutes. Excellent job!

Will return

We had a great time. Nice and quiet. Easy process. No disruption. Was a nice retreat after a long week. Only downside was the porta potty. Should consider putting a washroom with a flush toilet. my daughter was very timid about using the porta potty. But overall we enjoyed! The host was also fine with us staying later then check out as long as nobody else booked. Thanks again!!

we loved to rent a cabin with Teresa's land, she's very kind and helpful, we enjoyed and had fun alot, everything was nice , and beautiful views, and we had fun with boat and other games.
