This warm and cozy two-bedroom getaway isn't quite like anything else. A rustic wood cabin with a fairytale flair guarantees fun and relaxation on your next vacation.
Located in North Frontenac there is an abundance of lakes, forest, and trails to explore before coming home to a mug of hot chocolate in front of the fire.
Guests are invited to use the beach, dock, canoes, and kayaks at the North Frontenac Lodge (about a 15 minute drive away) to enjoy the water.A wood stove provides warmth and a comfortable glow to the living room, with enough seating for all to gather. A hidden TV with chromecast works great for movie nights or rainy days.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and appliances for creating your own culinary masterpieces. The propane range features a convection oven and cast-iron griddle, with a variety of pots and pans available to meet your needs. Small appliances include a kitchenaid mixer, blender, food processor, rice cooker, slow cooker, coffee maker, and toaster oven. A dishwasher makes for cleanup quick. The dining room seats eight and is great for a board game marathon.
The blue bedroom in the tower has a double bed with dresser and desk, as well as windows all around to give you the feeling of being in a treehouse. A balcony gives amazing views of the countryside - leave the patio door open at night in the summer to hear the call of loons as you fall asleep. Don't worry about packing sheets or towels, linens are included.
The green room has a huge window for sunlight, check out the stained glass detail! A double bed, bookcase with some toys for any junior adventurers, dresser, and night table are there for your comfort. A workspace is available if you need to get some work done with a keyboard/mouse, 24" monitor (HDMI), laptop stand, and hardwire or wifi connection to fast Starlink internet. The area has strong cell service.
Outdoors features a propane BBQ close to the house and fire pit in the backyard. Relax on the back deck with a beverage listening to the breeze in the trees and watching birds at the feeder.
Just off Palmerston Lake, there is a boat launch space just a five minute walk down the road. Two public beaches on the lake are great for swimming. There's lots to do nearby - hiking, swimming, boating, ATV trails, art studios, and much more.
Guests have access to the lake and personal watercraft at the North Frontenac Lodge on Mosque Lake, be sure to plan an afternoon for boating and swimming.
Accessibility: Unfortunately this space has accessibility difficulties due to stairs. The main floor is on ground level, but all bedrooms and bathrooms involve stairs for access.
