Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park adventure.
You'll find sandy beaches, a bird observatory, and dense forests in this North Central Alberta park.
About 15 minutes from the town of Slave Lake, Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park sits right on the shores of the lake for which it is named. Campers have two options for overnighting inside the park, both open between May and October: Marten River Campground and Devonshire Short-Stay Campground. Marten River is the primary option, offering over 100 campsites (some powered and others lakeside), plus an amphitheater, playground, showers, and flush toilets. Meanwhile, Devonshire is exclusively for self-sufficient RV campers, featuring paved pull-through RV sites near the 1.5-kilometre Devonshire Beach, but no toilets or cooking facilities.
With a short summer season (camping is available only between May and October), warm-weather weekends can get busy, particularly during holidays.
