Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Callaghan Lake Provincial Park adventure.
Lakeside camping with mountain views that appeal to backcountry hikers, boaters, and anglers.
Set in the subalpine terrain that was home to the 2010 Winter Olympics Nordic events, Callaghan Lake Provincial Park is just 30 kilometres from Whistler and has snow until June each year. During the brief summer, an informal, user-maintained campground is available. Anglers, hikers, and boaters attracted by the undeveloped wilderness take advantage of the area's ample hiking opportunities as well as the lake fishing. Bobcats, cougars, black bears, and grizzly bears frequent the area, as do deer and mountain goats. Several basic campsites are found in a clearing at the end of the road. Callaghan Lake Provincial Park is located in the territory of the Squamish Nation.
Callaghan Lake Provincial Park is open for camping after the snow melts, usually from mid-June through October.
