Description

If you listen closely, you’ll hear Moon Lake singing a sweet, soft song. They say magic happens here at the Moon Lake Group Campground, located on the south slope of the Uinta Range, next to the scenic and sought-out Moon Lake. Campers visit the lake for its canoeing and abundant fishing opportunities; anglers fish for rainbow and cutthroat trout, Kokanee salmon, and splake. The Lake Fork Trail and Brown Duck Mountain Loop begin at this site, offering excellent hiking and horseback riding into the High Uintas Wilderness, where numerous lakes provide even more great backcountry fishing. The wildlife considers this site a place to see and be seen, and the wildflowers along the lakeshore blossom in abundance.
