This land has been a community gathering space for the Native's Ceremony and Healing Space for over a thousand years. Feast your eyes upon the Matates and traces of the people that once gathered here so long ago. Upon the mid 1800's we had a Settler named Nate Harrison find this to be the ideal space, and he set up homestead here, and lived an amazing full life. He was to become the first African American to aquire land here in San Diego County, and his homestead remains to this day; studied by archaeology students to this day. Sensitive habitat and magic lies within our gates, and we must approach the mountain as we would any sacred space; with RESPECT. We welcome you to enjoy Nate's land and inspire who you are deep inside your heart.

Camping at Harrison Serenity Ranch
Camping with 3 first-timers 🤯
Our stay at the mountain campsite was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by crisp, fresh air and breathtaking views that stretched as far as the eye could see. Nestled amidst beautiful trees and sounds of nature 🙌🏽 , the campsite offered a true retreat from the hustle of everyday life. The real highlight, of course, was the surroundings. Waking up to the golden sunrise illuminating the peaks was an unforgettable experience. Night was spent hiking trails. the clear sky became a canvas of stars, offering a peaceful end to the day by the campfire. Can’t wait to visit again. I brought 3 first time campers along with me and they’re already asking when is the next camping trip. Love the communication between us and the host, really made our stay easy and welcoming allowing us to really enjoy the campsite with no issues. Shouts outs to Brain and Vicki 🤟🏾

Mountain View
Beautiful campsite! We went on an unpopular weekend which one of the owners allows us to select a campsite since there was many. It was just us and another group (5 ppl) there. Each camp site had a fire pit, chair and table. There were multiple portable bathrooms. The drive up was intense, winding road (turns), and unpaved road (rocky & dirt). I saw different cars go up, we had a truck, so it wasn’t a big deal. It took us 26-30 minutes from Nate Harrison road to the campsite. Overall great experience!

Beautiful property with so much to do! My girlfriend and I had the best time camping here with our dogs, the views are immaculate and lots of cool history to this property, was also a fun surprise to the drive up don’t need 4wd but it made it a whole lot more fun! the owner Vicki was also very kind and helpful with our stay! 11/10 forsure
