Description

Located on a dirt road, Baca Campground is the kinda place where only people who enjoy being alone in the wilderness and gazing at a bajillion stars need apply. This was originally a CCC camp in the 1930s and is still popular with hunters. Although there is a spring nearby, please supply your own water.

We spent two nights there in early March, it was perfect weather, night's in the 60's and days in the high 80's. It's a huge open space so it's great for camping groups. There are no hook-ups and no dump station nearby, and when we went the spring was dry so bring plenty of water. There's some good hiking nearby and a firewood cutting area just down the road.
