Orange Olsen Campground
before we can provide a recommendation.
Description
Orange Olsen is like Little House on the Prarie steez, but instead of grassy flatlands, you’re partying 7,000 feet high amidst a panoramic view of Joes Valley. The Orange Olsen Dwelling has two bedrooms, akitchen, and a bathroom with a shower, while the Orange Olsen Bunkhouse sports a combination kitchen/bedroom (so that you don’t have to reach that far for your morning eggs) and a bathroom with a shower.
In 2013, the buildings were upgraded with a total remodel, so now they come with everything you need—well, if everything you need is a sink, refrigerator, stove and simple cookware (pots 'n' pans, silverware, and utensils), basic cleaning supplies, and toilet paper. The nearby Straight and Cottonwood Canyons abound with renowned bouldering opportunities, and popular mountain fisheries—Grassy Lake, Pete’s Hole, and Potters Ponds—which are all within 10 miles of Orange Olsen.
