Description

We’re not sure if Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman operated out of a lodge in Wyoming, but it sure feels like you’re a homesteader on the frontier at Medicine Lodge Lake Campground in Bighorn National Forest. Jutting up between the Powder River and Big Horn Basins, the grounds here will have you camping at upwards of 9000 feet, so bring cozy evening layers even if you plan to spend the hot days sunbathing. The sites here are first-come, first-served, and the season is only four months long, so get at this gorgeous land while you can! The pet-friendly grounds are a great place to fish or fly fish all day, cook up your findings on the fire at night, and hum “Home on the Range” to yourself while you watch literal antelope graze nearby.
