The big draw to Wonder Lake Campground in Denali are the views.
On a clear day, visitors are rewarded with the sight of the breathtaking Mount McKinley. The surrounding landscape is wet, so although off-trail hiking is permitted, it can be pretty boggy. There are many mosquitos in the summer, so definitely bring repellant, and maybe even a head net. A nearby trail leads hikers one mile to McKinley River. Keep your eyes peeled for beavers, moose, and grizzly along the way!
You need a reservation, and plan on staying a couple of days so that you can see Denali in its glory!

Bring plenty of bug spray. The surrounding area is marshy tundra, lots of Alaska sized mosquitoes.

Of the official campsites we stayed in the Denali, this was by far the most isolated and least hectic which is exactly what we wanted. The views from the campsite are great and we were able to spread out from other campers (at least in July)
