Sorry RV-ers, you’ll have to leave your hitchable rides behind.
Strung together by just a few “tent only” campsites, Lone Pine Campground sits amongst the area’s heavy, green-verdure—but in solitude. Get ready to unplug for the weekend, and recharge amongst the beguiling scenery at Mississippi State Park.
Stayed at Lone Pine over the Fourth of July weekend, and we were the only ones on the campground. While the other side of the lake has a number of people living in RVs and cabins, almost no one seemed interested in the primitive sites on our side. We were able to walk to numerous fishing spots with the minnows we purchased at the park's welcome center. Looking forward to staying at Lone Pine again this summer.
