Blooming Echo is a very private, beautifully wooded and wild land. She has a few springs, seasonal creeks, huge trees and a big sunny meadow where we grow our corn. We have a dome for ceremonies and chilling, an outdoor kitchen, two compost toilets, many swings, a trampoline and a slack line. Lots of land to walk and explore, many many wild and native medicinal herbs. This property is totally off grid. You can track wild boar, deer, wild turkeys and mountain lions, and listen to hermit thrush sing in the morning, hawks call during the day and owls hoot at night. This site, and our land, can fit many tents. It is open and flat, cradled in our meadow. But really, you can camp anywhere you feel comfortable. There is a compost toilet and hand washing station right near by the main camp spot, in the woods. From here you have access to the out door kitchen nearby, swings, trampoline, hammocks, and nice walks. It is deeply peaceful. Even though we can accommodate many campers and groups at once, for now, we are only hosting with this one site, so if you book it no other hipcampers will be there at the same time, unless you overlap in the coming and going. However, we do have a land steward that lives full time on the land and I come and go to tend to my corn, pump water into the tanks, weed etc. So depending on the week/weekend you might not see anyone else, or you might see me or the folks that live there (they have their own spot and will be doing their own thing—and are great to have around cause they are super handy!)

Magical place
We had an amazing experience at this wonderful place. Kids had so much to do, from swings to rope climbing and just walking the land with our pups. There is plenty of room for several families and the kitchen - the kitchen! Fully stocked that we barely used our own stuff. Compost toilets worked out great. It was chilly at night so bundle up. The drive up is narrow and uphill so take it slow.

Magic in the redwoods
This place was magical! So much for kids and adults to do around the place. Swings, walks, a redwood tree climbing gym for kids/adults - just walking around enjoying at all the little things and reading benches, and art others left for you to enjoy. A 4-wheel drive vehicle is a must and print your instructions so the no wifi doesn’t have you scrambling. Kitchen is well stocked with what you need to cook with a few propane stoves. Bring your lanterns if kitchen lights don’t work and maybe extra AA batteries if you want to power the light strings strung around. It’s cold at night (it’s early Nov. now) so pack your warm sleep stuff and enjoy the owls. Leave the place clean for the next batch of happy campers. We loved this experience and will come back with family as there’s plenty space. Thanks for a memorable weekend, Rebecca!

just a short drive from town through a magical road where the traffic comes from wild turkeys, the light comes from the cosmos, the sound comes from the chirp of the birds and the song of the salamander. in this redwood forest is a sacred spot with good vibes and no power lines. thoughtfully curated structures made from fallen trees. proper amenities done right, quietly a model for living graciously on earth like we’ve been here before and might want to visit again. Of course this doesn’t happen by accident, so of course the people that make it happen are also amazing. While there are dozens of acres of privacy if you want them, I was lucky enough to coincidentally check out on a day they also hosted a sweat - lodge ceremony of sorts. so we stayed longer and while it was something new to me, i timidly opened up to it when they invited me, while my shy daughter so naturally played with new friends and our dogs gave each other the smell test. It was definitely something I’d do again and Becca’s purple cornmeal porridge made from her freshly harvested heirloom corn - downright delicious, wholesome and after one bite you know it’s not something you can just order from a menu or buy in a store. Can’t guarantee my experience was typical but wouldn’t be surprised if it was even more epic for others. We’ll be back.

Weekend getaway
This was such a lovely close but also far enough get away! Just a friend and I but we frolicked around the land with my pup like kids! The swings, the trampoline, fire pit. Would love to bring a group back :) I do recommend an AWD or 4WD to get up the driveway, my KIA Optima would not have made it.

Meadow Row Campsite
This is an amazing getaway and super secluded. The campsite and surrounding redwoods are truly breathtaking and the outdoor kitchen is a great bonus. I highly recommend this spot for a camping adventure that is hard to come by.
