Soak in a cedar hot tub and Renu cold plunge nestled in an oak grove, then sleep in our A Frame or one of our two luxurious yurt-like tents. Venture into the clearing with open skies for truly amazing starry views at night. It's a peaceful retreat surrounded by pines and oaks, yet is still less than 15 minutes from the historic Gold Mining towns of Nevada City and Grass Valley. A composting toilet is housed in a beautiful, well maintained outhouse and a heated outdoor shower is located next to the hot tub and cold plunge. These as well as the hot tub/cold plunge area are shared between our two sites. PLEASE NOTE: While many guests have found each spot to feel private, it's important to mention that these are located in a large clearing behind our house. You'll have ample space and privacy, with the added convenience of having someone nearby if you need anything. A Frame
A Perfect Mini Retreat
My partner and I had a wonderful weekend at the A Frame! Ellie + Jack are fabulous hosts; they made sure we were comfy and they communicated well. All the wonderful amenities made this trip stress-free, and any stress we did have melted away while stargazing in the hot tub. We lucked out and had the place to ourselves (the other 2 sites were not occupied) and it got me thinking how fun it would be to come with a larger group. Ellie + Jack had great suggestions for activities in the area, including the delicious Communal Cafe that we HAD to visit twice. Looking forward to a relaxing Girls' Trip in the future! :) Thank you!

Quiet cozy stay
We stayed at the cedar site for the weekend and enjoyed their property. You can tell they really take care of their property and we loved all the extras they provided like robes, extra fans, lights and the hot tub! This was our first hip camp stay so I was a little concerned about staying on someone's property but I would totally stay again here.

Cute yurts on quiet property
Super cute yurts on a quiet property. Easy to get to, cell service, and close to downtown Nevada city. We loved the hot tub. The bed in ponderosa was comfy and the yurt stayed warm at night. Super unique. Would recommend.

I LOVED my stay there! I did a little solo glamping trip and Ellie and Jack's place was perfect! The hot tub at night was dream like and the bed is to comfortable! Super close to town and hiking trails! 100% will be going back!

We had a wonderful burning man decompression here. The hot and cold, the great little spots to hang, and the bell tents were so fun to sleep in! And super easy to get around to river spots and town.

Nice Getaway from reality
Loved staying here ! Ellie was very responsive and understanding. It was nice getaway from reality. Sad it had to be only two night but will love to come again ! Tent was kept well, they provided pillows, lamps, fans & generators for charging phones etc. Bed and couch was comfy. Overall 10/10 Would love to come again !
