The Desert Isle
This is my 3rd year in a row here, I absolutely love it! Incredibly peaceful and all the necessary amenities to make it very comfortable while still getting a “camping” experience. The hosts are lovely too! Highly recommended!

Never met a host that was so enthusiastic about their site and the people staying there. Mikey has made such an effort to create a wonderful experience. Our site was STUNNING, felt like a little oasis. We enjoyed the pool both nights. Location is perfect because you get to drive thru very cute downtown Yucca and Joshua tree where there are lots of vintage and antique shopping to do. We enjoyed the stars at night and felt very safe.

The Stargazer Bed
Amazing stay at the Stargazer
I spent three nights here over Memorial Day weekend 2024, and had a great time! I stayed at the stargazer - a very comfortable bed on an upper level. Loved watching the sunset and the sunrise from the beanbag or the rocking chair, and the stars at night from my bed.
There were plenty of covers o the bed - one night it got windy, so I spent it in the downstairs art studio bed - also very comfortable!
There is an outdoor gym equipment, outdoor private shower, fully working toilet, and so many cute secluded seating areas. And an above-ground swimming pool for the very hot days.
I was able to make full use of the kitchen, including the hot water kettle and the microwave. I didn’t use the oven, but I saw other folks using it for brick oven pizza. There is so much space that you’re never bothered by anyone else.
There were also two refrigerators on site, and even a laundry room. The owner has put a lot of effort into the place.
When you get some time, wander around and look at all the artwork and collections.
It’s a 45min drive to Joshua Tree.
Sam’s family spa is five minutes away where you can enjoy hot water mineral bath and/or the swimming pool - I 2024 it was $25-$30 per person plus $10 for pets.
San Marcos Date Farm is a four minute drive where you can pick up some amazing local dates for a tasty snack or dessert.
There’s a general store on the way there where you can get beer, water, ice, wine, and some staples. The best deal for ice is another two minutes away
