Creature comforts

This is a brand new listing on Hipcamp. The Secret Gardens is located about 2 minutes drive from the beach and the Monterey bay, about 12 miles away South of Santa Cruz. The beaches here are more peaceful and spread out as long as your eyes can see. We are 33 miles away from Monterey aquarium but you almost don't have to go anywhere when you are here. There are many things to do such as hiking at Land of Medicine Buddha or Forrest of Nisene Mark, Stroll around at Capitola Village, Have coffee and do awesome thrift shopping in downtown Aptos or in Soquel, Get some free foods from Free Food church on Wednesday evening (Yes, locally grown organic produce!), have a picnic on the cliff to watch the sunset, this town kind of remind you what's like to be in town without big boxes and franchise stores everywhere, life as its finest. This campground is also a great setting for your celebrations with two stages, a celebration area, a stone fired pizza oven and a sound systems (These are extras). What to expect: - Access to fully stocked kitchen: Propane powered grill and stove (commercial grade), refrigerators, freezer, pots, pans, utensils, kitchenware, dinnerware, basic spices and olive oil. - Hot showers and flushable toilettes - If you reserve a cabin, it comes with beddings (sheets, blankets, pillows) - A heater in your cabin What not to expect: - Towels - Free smores

Book the entire Secret Gardens
I cannot recommend this campground enough. This was the second time I was lucky enough to stay here. We had a large group with varied comfort levels when it comes to camping/glamping. All the rooms had very comfortable beds and each had their own unique theme/charm. The campground has plenty of bathrooms (and hot showers), which were spotless and well-stocked. The kitchen is equipped with a very large grill, stovetop with professional griddle, a pizza oven, two industrial size refrigerators, and a chest freezer. They also provide various cooking utensils, pots, pans, cutting boards, etc., which makes for a seamless packing experience. On top of the facilities, the hosts were incredibly accommodating and responsive. Yeyen set up the fire pit for the most cozy fire and her husband, the expert carpenter behind this wonderful place, saved the day by helping us with the pizza oven. You will not regret staying here!

The Secret Garden
The Secret Garden was beyond our expectations! Greeted upon arrival by a very lovely Yeyen, she showed us the grounds; a oasis in the trees complete with a communal kitchen, beautifully appointed bathrooms, choice of tent camping or cabins … it was magical!! Highly recommend!

Very Zen
Lovely stay at this zen like retreat. Reminded me of Lombok Indonesia or Changmai Thailand. Very relaxing outside shower in a beautiful plant setting.
