Viva Sankofa is a 72 acre QPOC home away from home near Sequoia-Kings (SEKI) Canyon Nat'l Parks. Rescued horses, sheep, chickens, and ducks freely roa the property. This is a BIPOC and Queer/LGBTQ haven but ALL are welcome. Family friendly too of course. The property has a communal clubhouse with a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, firepit, hot/cold showers, NO flushable toilets yet, and an above ground pool for now.
30 minutes from park entrance, 20 min from nearby lakes, 50 minutes from Fresno. 3 hrs from SF, 3.5 from LA. We have running hot/cold water for our outdoor shower but NO flushable toilets. We have outhouses and portable bucket toilets (yes) filled with cedar shavings for now!

If you're coming July-Mid August please know it is HOT (95 average/75 night) and wildfires are a consistent threat. With that, wildfire prevention is a high priority. We need TONS of help with projects three ADHD babies have planned/started but haven't finished!

- a giant sustainable garden in this DRY (bc of climate change) Mediterranean climate
- events and ceremonies
- vertical ag
- chicken farming (underway and we have a lot of eggs to eat and share!)
- livestock raising (also happening already)
- medicinal plant growing + onsite apothecary
- bus conversion site
- tool and machinery share/rental
- furniture
- vibing
