Up for some secluded camping in northern Arizona’s beautiful Coconino National Forest?

Sites at Rock Crossing Campground are peaceful, quiet, and most importantly… totally picturesque. Chill out and relax in this lush setting, or if you fancy some exploring we recommend wandering to the nearby Blue Ridge Reservoir for some fishing or hiking one of the nearby trails that wind through Coconino’s many lakes, trees, and even up to the epic Mogollon Rim.

We visited here over Memorial Day weekend 2016 and loved it. Had no trouble finding a site and people were coming and going daily without issue. Many sites can accommodate travel trailers. We opted for a spot away from the cliff edge since we were traveling with small children and toddlers, but if you have older children or none at all I would highly recommend picking a spot near the edge. The views are phenomenal looking down on tree tops, offering a great sunrise view. The camp hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. There are several bathrooms and potable water, but no showers. Sites are $8/night. All sites are surrounded by countless ponderosa pines providing plenty of shade. Small restaurant/shop/gas station on 87.
