A popular spot for outdoor recreation, Indian Springs has been a sought-after destination for centuries. Long ago, the Creek Indians collected the spring water for its healing qualities, and during the Great Depression the Civilian Conservation Corps built a stone Spring House where you can still go to sample the spring water flowing inside.

Nuakh Creekside Camping offers primitive camping sites along a large creek flowing through 50 acres of wooded land. The campground is also within a 15-minute drive from High Falls State Park, Indian Springs and Dauset Trails Nature Center. You will feel "off the grid" and are free to explore the land by hiking or biking. Our front-half sites are mostly accessible by car and our back country campsites can only be accessed by Jeep, ATV or hiking since there is a small creek crossing. A fire ring is provided at each site. Campers must bring their own toilet. There is no water source except the creek on the property. Firewood available for purchase.

Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials. We are working towards: Total energy and water independence Total structural material independence Food independence via aquaponic farming Providing solar powered refrigerated space to local food distros Providing local kids (and adults) access to training on permaculture and living with minimal impact on the planet. I wouldn't drink from the well but it could be used for other things. Very safe quiet area. Its just a mini hobby farm but you're more than welcome to check out the chickens and my pig Peppa. If the chickens are laying good I will get you some fresh eggs.

Stone Mountain Park is also a short drive or bike ride from here, where there is hiking, paddling, golf, and amusement rides available. For a more local experience, the Pine Lake Beach is just a 1.5 miles away. It's a beautiful site for swimming and fishing. New to camping and not sure that you can cook an adequate meal over a fire? No problem. This site provides access to the best of country luxury alongside the city conveniences of DoorDash and UberEats, all in one place. We have a propane heater for the colder months and 2 battery powered fans for hot days.
