This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, bugs, geckos, free roaming chickens or other elements to be expected in nature, this might not be the place for you. Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege. While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. This is a working farm. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. If that is the experience you are seeking, I think you would be happier elsewhere. We appreciate all of your bookings, and profits go directly back into farm infrastructure and new fruit trees. SUGGESTION: Check the weather report in advance to ensure that you are prepared for any weather conditions that could occur. Hawaii's rainy season is from October-March. Keep in mind that Hawaii is a tropical island so be prepared for mosquitoes and other insects. There is a higher chance of mud during the rainy season as well. For Tents: Maleka Farm provides space for pitching tents. Set up your tent and enjoy the simplicity of sleeping under the stars, listening to the birds and waking up to the natural beauty that surrounds you. For Camper-Vans: Maleka Farm can accommodate camper-vans of various sizes. The Farm is flat. Hiking Trails: Maleka Farm provides easy access to a variety of hiking trails in the town of Laie and surrounding areas. Some popular trails in the vicinity include: Laie Summit Trail, Ma'akua Ridge Trail, Laie Falls Trail, Malaekahana Falls Trail Local Attractions: In addition to the mesmerizing mountain views, Laie and its surrounding areas offer a variety of attractions such as the Polynesian Cultural Center, an immersive cultural experience showcasing the traditions and history of the Pacific Islands. I never got bored living here. Every day I got to wake up and go to the beach just minutes away from home, or my cousins and I would have a fishing contest to see who could catch the most fish. We would also go paddling up the river to lay nets down to catch some ono (delicious) crab for dinner. Learn more about this land: Aloha! Looking for a place to lounge and adventure? Mangrove Lounge is the place for you! Mangrove Lounge is located right behind the historical town called Haleiwa Town. Camper Vans or RVs are more than welcome! During the day, enjoy access to a private river where you can take your fishing pole and catch yourself some dinner. After a busy day, enjoy a nice hot bath in a private shower under the stars, along with a flushing toilet and sink. Upon request and additional charge, end your adventure with a cozy night next to the fire pit ($28.00 for fire pit). Mangrove Lounge is 3-5 minutes (driving) away from many beaches and eateries in Haleiwa town where you can also do all your shopping. Beautiful Private Secured Land, over 2 Acres in Haleiwa. Property is located in the heart of Haleiwa. You can either walk, bike or drive to local stores, restaurants and bars. Property is secured by two gates. There is a beautiful river located along the property line. There is compostable toilet located on property, and a picnic table. The property and HIPCAMP area now has a shower and a nozzle for drinking water! There are some chickens and roosters on property, so at times you may hear them clucking and crowing. Guests are expected to be kind, and respectful to neighbors and land. Please keep noise down at 9PM. Please clean your trash. Parties are not acceptable; however guests can create small campfires and use picnic table. Please make sure fire is OUT. Guests who are camping must contact host for gate codes, details and instructions.

Camp Koʻolau provides bathrooms, a warm-water outdoor shower with an amazing view, and parking. Our farm is only a 5-minute drive to the beach, and 15 minutes from popular, Kailua town. As a working farm, we do have insects and geckos hanging around. So, it's not uncommon to encounter them. Also, we often have visits from wild pigs that come down from the mountain, so you may see them as well. Although we are certain you will love this place, please keep in mind, it takes a lot of hard work to maintain it. Thus, you will probably hear farm equipment and activities buzzing about (typically on the weekends). And, we want you to respect, love, and care for this place as much as we do by leaving it better than you found it.

Welcome to Hau'ula Homestead! We are located on O‘ahu, the beautiful Hawaiian Island. Right across the road from Hau'ula Beach park and a short drive from famous North Shore beaches. Flat grass field with some trees and bordered by a stream. We have two RV/tent campsites available. If you are bringing an RV, we can accommodate vehicles up to 45ft in length. No hookups are available at this time, the sites are flat. Campfires not permitted. We are pet-friendly, but please keep your pets on leash. A toilet, potable water, and wifi are all available. Kokololio Beach Park is a 2-minute drive from the site. Hau'ula Loop Trail is only 4 minutes away. Kokololio Beach is a nice stretch of sand and during the summer months, swimming is possible. When coming from the south, turn left toward the mountain immediately before the long Hauula Beach park bridge or when coming from the north turn right immediately toward the mountain just after the long park bridge into my dirt driveway. You will have the small river on your righthand side as you drive in.
