Wild blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries grow seasonally on the forest floor. The tall bluff along the river allows beautiful views of the river. The river has abundant fishing, canoeing, and kayaking opportunities. The Prairie River and Mississippi River offer great opportunities for boating and fishing. Anglers will find Walleye, Northern Pike, Catfish, Large and Small mouth Bass among other species. Birders enjoy viewing Bald Eagles, Hawks, Ducks, Geese and many other species from the trails of the park.

Your campsite is located 1.5 miles from the renowned Tioga mountain bike trailhead! Bike from your site and be on some of the best riding in the region! Walk down the private drive to the lake which has a dock and southern sky views. Request permission to rent the paddleboat to cruise for the day, or bring your own boat and launch at the nearby public landing and tie up at the dock. There is a porta potty located near the site along with running water access at the pump house by the lake for your convenience as well.

The camper is a no frills 37 foot '97 Dutchmen Royal that has been updated, it features a queen bed and a full size futon. Sleeps 4. There is cold water and air conditioning, simple pots and pans for cooking and a fire pit with outdoor furniture. It's a pretty nice spot!

Although the property is located in the country, it is located along a state highway for easy access and there are three towns and many amenities and recreational venues within 15 minutes drive. You choose the spot as long as it's not in the horse pasture, cow pasture when cows are in, or in the hay field when hay is long before it's cut. Hay field would be off limits roughly late June to Mid July during optimal growth time and cutting. We are a 20 minute drive from the North Entrance to Itasca State Park and the Headwaters of the Mississippi. Also LaSalle Lake Recreation Area is only about six or seven miles down the road.
