There is a historic and active railroad line behind the cabin and you will hear the train pass through the day and night. Some people have found it cool or relaxing but others have not. Nestled on its own 4-acre parcel within our family's 12-acre plot, this cozy retreat offers a private driveway and setting for your getaway. New additions this year include a fire ring and porta-potty, adding to the complete experience of your stay. Just a mile down the road, you'll find access to Lake Erie, boasting a small beach and kayak slip. On clear nights, don't miss the opportunity to gaze at the stunning stars above. Your host, Brian, has infused the cabin with photography and treasures from his global journeys, adding a unique touch to your stay. The hosts philosophy is to not bother you at all during your stay unless you have a specific need or concern, so your stay is all yours. The price is kept low to reflect this a campsite rental, not a hosted Airbnb. With that said every effort is made to make things comfy. However, we provide battery packs and solar options for your convenience. The dish sink operates with a foot pump connected to a 5-gallon water jug. Guests are welcome to bring their own wood or explore the surrounding area for available resources. For your safety, please exercise caution when venturing into the woods and avoid approaching the active train tracks located at the back of the property. While the passing train adds to the rustic charm of the setting, it may NOT be suitable for light sleepers. Road traffic noise tends to calm down in quiet hours. Bed sleeps 2 but up to 3 welcome. Every year we host a Tree fundraiser called "May We Begin" where we replant as many trees with tree shields as we can raise funds for. Learn more about this land: The feeling of peace is about 1 mile off the road. Pulling into Apple Cove you'll see we've cleared areas for tents and small van style RVs. There is an individual fire pit for each camper, a small rock bottom creek runs through the 15 acres for a nice, relaxing view of the woods. The kids and I set up a swing set, and a spot by the creek to play and splash. Now, New York is a 420 friendly state. Large secluded campsite bordering the Hemlock-Canadice State Forest above beautiful Hemlock Lake in the Western Finger Lakes Region of NYS. Hemlock Lake is a pristine and undeveloped body of water, about a half hour south of Rochester NY. Explore the 6,684 acre State Forest and surrounding natural areas and parks. Hemlock Lake is managed by the NYS DEC and City of Rochester Water Dept. and allows small boats, kayaks, canoes, ect. (no swimming). There are many great hiking trails, back roads for biking and walking, farms, breweries, wineries, restaurants, shops, antique stores ect, within minutes of the property.

BST Acres (1855 N Union St)

L-shaped 17 acre property with no real neighbors! House is at the bend of the "L" with most of the zoo 😊 The property feels like a secluded country spot, but isless than 5 minutes from the erie canal, highway access, cute Village shops and restaurants, and even a few breweries! Downtown Rochester is about a 20 min drive. Sites are 800+ft back from the road with nature blocking it, so low sound and light pollution. Great stargazing! Come roam, pick a spot, and hang out with the critters if that's your thing! The property is partially wooded with a majority of rolling lawn with mature trees, a few little trails and a meadow surrounded by woods. There is an event venue/caterer that tucks up to the property, and whose gorgeous gazebo and small pond with fountain add to the ambiance (along with the peeper frogs at night in season). You may even catch some music from weddings on the weekend! But please no trespassing! Property line is marked. This is open land camping- no-bathrooms (yet), electric, or shower- but you can use the hose to your heart's content. I have (one) composting toilet setup with its privacy pop tent that can be picked up on arrival. You'll be driving over lawn with gently rolling hills, so if it's been rainy-you may hit muddy spots/get stuck-plan accordingly! I'm working on adding a road along the property line for that, but it's only about 1/3 complete right now (see pic). Flat area best for RVs is over lawn, but if too soggy I have room along the driveway so you'll still have a secure spot. Highland "coos" Katie and Jersey will happily take food bribes! The rest of the critters are in their respective "yards" wrapping around the back of the house (central). The southernmost pen has assorted birds including a pair of peacocks, turkeys, and the emus-who are goofy but mischievous-so best viewed from the outside. They'll often come to the fence to investigate, and that's your opportunity for pets. Mostly you'll probably laugh at their antics as they frolic along with their goose and chicken buddies. Next to that is the main backyard of the house where my dogs are. One is a livestock guardian breed so she can be barky if she sees you, but no bite! Feel free to bring your on leash furry friends or set up a temporary run for them.

Welcome, Mission Conesus, originally built by Franciscan Catholics. These lands were likely chosen for many reasons. Suffice it to say there is something special here. Come discover for yourself. Lose yourself here, or maybe find yourself, among the Hemlocks. First, a bit about the terrain. There is much in the way of forest, very mature, and a broad array of plant species. Elevation differences are vast, land to the west is uphill for quite a ways, and downhill to the east, to Hemlock lake below, so the world here can feel a bit tilted. We adjoin 150 acres of nature conservancy lands that nobody seems to know about. These lands are for respectful public daytime use. We also adjoin 6600 acres of NY state forest which is public property. Exploring all that is here would take a very long time! Want to get away? Welcome to our little slice of heaven. We are just getting started in the camping space, but for now, we're accepting bookings and looking forward to hosting you, at the mission. See the provided map for site locations. Site 1 is open field and is near the pavilion, sites 2 and 3 are along the woods, and site 4 is the most private and tucked into the woods. We looking forward to hosting you, at the mission.

Get away from it all on 60 acres of quiet space! You have two options--bring your own tent and camping gear and rough it, or stay in our hand-built cabin with all you need for a couple of nights of pure R&R! Experience zero light pollution at this off the grid cabin or in one of our camping spots. Although the cabin is not hooked up to electric or water, it is equipped with kitchen cabinets, pots and pans and dishes and silverware, drinking and cleaning/cooking water, a pullout bed with sheets and blankets (2 people), a couch that becomes a futon, one more couch and a blowup air mattrees, a dining room table and four chairs, a porch glider, an outhouse, a camp stove, books, a few rechargeable lights (but good to bring your own), kindling and firewood, and is insulated with a stove for winter stays. A fire pit and benches await your nighttime enjoyment of the solitude and stars. We encourage you to walk and experience a true "backwoods" experience, but we will drive you down in our Utility Vehicle if needed. A ping pong table is available in the barn/workshop if people would like to play. We also have pollinator and vegetable gardens and chickens, and we produce maple syrup in the spring. If guests are interested in workshops on carpentry, food preservation, foraging, gardening, bread baking, and kombucha-brewing, they should let us know a WEEK in ADVANCE. We also offer spiritual direction and Enneagram exploration/typing conversations. This experience can be as solitary as a guest would like, or guests can also experience the gift of connecting with others in community.

Solar lights on ceiling with remote (Only work after dark). Angelica NY is just a few miles up the road, where you will find cute antique shops, dollar general, post office etc. There's many Amish farms around to purchase cheap slab firewood, fresh vegetables or eggs. We love our little slice of private water side camping here in Angelica and hope you will take care of it like it was yours. Please no carving of names or dates in any structure, do not cut or chop down any living tree or vegetation. Our property has a lot of walnut trees- watch for falling nuts come late summer and fall! No dumping or putting anything down pit except toilet paper!
