Fishing, boating, and swimming are popular here, as are children--so if you’ve got ‘em, bring ‘em. They can fish for sunfish and perch in the shallow waters, roll around in the sand, and then hop back in the lake for a swim. Hours of fun for all! Adults will appreciate hiking on the Sucker Brook Trail and just kickin’ back in the relaxing sunshine.

Quiet Lake George Area Campground

Granite Hill Lodge and Campground is a re-invented campground, brought back to life with the purpose of providing a place of quiet and leisure in the busy Lake George area. Only 20 minutes to Lake George beaches, downtown and outlet shopping, Granite Hill is in a great location to enjoy the beautiful Adirondacks while providing a getaway in the foothills of Fort Ann. The newly designed campground provides a small camping feel with plenty of outdoor space to bike and hike. The property is located on the Champlain Canalway Bike Trail and has an established hiking trail and a smaller walking trail to beautiful overlooks, looking over the Adirondack Mountains. The Campground has 20 sites with a mix of Tent sites, Full Hook up sites (P/W/S) and Power and Water Sites (P/W). Due to multiple reservation systems, we do not have all of our sites listed on Hipcamp. Mt Baker Tiny Cabin

This off-the-grid tiny house is nestled on a 23 acre parcel at the end of a quarter-mile dirt road. The property itself is secluded but is less than 2 miles from the heart of Saranac Lake's downtown. This property is bordered by the Saranac River, the backside of Baker Mountain and State Forest. The only other building on the property is our timberframe which we may or may not be at during the time of your visit. The property does have private trails up to the cliffs on the backside of Baker mtn however, the Saranac River is down a steep embankment so it does not make for a good place to launch a boat (several public boat launches nearby). The Mt Baker tiny house is a great basecamp for hiking the Saranac Lake 6-ers, paddling/boating along the Saranac Chain of lakes or Saranac River, Mountain Biking at Dewey, Pisgah or other nearby BETA trails. IMPORTANT DETAILS: This tiny cabin is completely off the grid: no electricity, heat or cooling. Queen sized bed - we provide the linens. The driveway is narrow - so nothing in tow. Drinking water is provided via jug and dispenser. There is a brand new outhouse (no flushable toilet) We have a designated spot for campfires (smores are a must) There is an older propane grill outside for guest use

The Pines Lakeside Canoe & Camping

Enjoy a secluded lakeside campsite with two points of water access. There are no other sites on this 13 acre property, so it's very private. Complimentary canoe and stand up paddle boards for your use. New York State hiking trails just one mile down the road, plus lots of other activities like rail biking and rafting a short drive away. The campsite is just 100 steps down a well-marked trail accessible from the parking spot. Pitch your tent on the elevated platform encircled in pine trees with a view of the lake. Next to the tent area you’ll find a solar shower, picnic table, Cleanwaste toilet in outhouse, fire pit and Adirondack chairs. The site comes equipped ample firewood, fire starters, and many kitchen items including plates, bowls, utensils, cups, frying pan, can opener, wine opener, salt and pepper, cooking tongs, dish wash basin, and dish soap. Please note, that during Mother's Day and Father's Day is black fly season in the Adirondacks. Difficult to predict, but good to be aware of.

Feel free to explore our 100 acres of mostly wooded land either on foot or by bike or skis or snowshoes. Take a short drive into town to experience some of the best restaurants in the area or spend a day at the historic Saratoga Racecourse. After a long day doing whatever you enjoy come back to a quiet farm setting, sit by the fire, relax to the sounds of the peepers, crickets or whippoorwills. The Saratoga area has so much to offer, outdoor activities of every sort, shopping, dining, horse racing, you name it.

Adirondack Rustic Retreat

As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war. It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well. All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time. During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings. There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest. Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since. Come and visit our little patch of wilderness!

We have several tent sites as well as cabins and rv sites! 3 Night minimum for Holiday weekends including July 4th and Labor Day. 2 night minimum on weekends, but sometimes we can make an exception if it's short notice and there are sites available.

the "walk in" sites 7-11 are very private, come with a beautiful mountain stream, and don't involve too much actual walking.
