Steamboat Rock Campground’s got 26 tent spaces, 136 utility sites (full hook-up) and 3 cabins—a little something even for those with discriminating tastes.

These sites share access to a dump station, six restrooms (4 ADA) and six showers (4 ADA). If you really want to be baller though, round up a first mate and voyage to one of 12 boat-in campsites. These cannot be reserved, but they do have drinking water and vault toilets for the taking once you cry LAND-HO. Should your fellow buccaneers steal your idea, there are 44 primitive campsites (first-come, first-served, vault toilets, no drinking water) at nearby Jones Bay and 36 more at Osborn Bay. There are five more campsites for equestrian campers at Northrup Canyon. These do require reservations. We know you’ve still got that teenage rebel inside of you, but this campground likes to play by the rules. Two vehicles are allowed per campsite and boats can crash on the lawns. On the plus side, camping at such a grown-up site has its perks, namely a store stocked with fast food, basic groceries, firewood, ice, and fishing supplies.

This is an 11 acre mountain, and every campsite is designed to give an incredible View of Lake Roosevelt From the property, you could see the backside of the dam on the lake side. The inlet is called Eden Harbor. There’s lake access by foot or a short drive to the other side of the harbor. It’s a great place to go fishing get some sun and relax. Campsite is located close to the town. Where you can buy groceries, ice, get a bite to eat at a restaurant or any other camping essentials you need. It’s also near two different boat ramps for easy boat access. We are pet friendly with rules that need to be followed as a pet owner. You take full responsibility for your own pets. There are different wild animals around like dear, turkeys, coyotes, etc. Each campsite is set up for groups, 6 people or more depending on the sites. There are cameras on the property, they are there for safety and security purposes to ensure a pleasant experience for all guests.

Only 12 minutes from either town where you can find Walmart, other stores, and resturants for all your needs.

All sites are riverfront and the adjoining property is a state fishing access and boat launch used by rafters and fishermen. The site is at the very end of the popular "Black canyon" section of the Methow river. Rafting and fishing guides use this property regularly. There is ample space for boat and trailer parking. There is a winery in walking distance that offers a beautiful oudoor tasting experience. Winter opportunities include cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Nearby the recreational opportunities abound. Alta Lake is a popular tourist area only 2 miles away. 4 miles away is Lake Pateros - home to many popular species of gamefish with massive runs of salmon passing eagerly anticipated each year in summer. The number in 2024 was over 500,000. Winthrop Wa. -a small western themed town is 30 miles away and a popular tourist destination. The campground is situated at the South end of Alta Lake, opened in 1946 and operated by my Grandparents until 1980, when my father decided to continue operations adding Outfitting and Guide services into the Pasayten and Sawtooth Wilderness areas. Covid put a halt on business for a few years, but we are back and making some gradual upgrades and changes to offer camping and horseback riding experiences again! The lake is 220 acres known to Anglers near and far. Plenty of room for the sunseekers wanting to play in the water on paddle boards, kayaks, jet skis, and water skiing. An 18-hole Golf Course resides at the North end of the lake and white water rafting just a few miles down the hill on the Methow River. Must book horseback riding in advance. We offer free Wi fi to guests near the office only.

Great place to camp I've stayed there several times and enjoyed every time the sites are always clean and well maintained and the lake is always fun to explore you won't know until you go.

Lots of amenities and very popular. I prefer some of the smaller campgrounds along Banks lake that don't get as much traffic and are more rustic. Very popular in summer months and can be very windy.
