Perfect Alpine Desert Campground
We really loved tent camping at Paul’s place! The scenery is gorgeous and we got lucky to be here when so many desert flowers blooming. We loved waking up to birds singing (we saw sage thrashers and finches and heard several others) and seeing antelope across the fields. Loved the security of being behind a locked gate, and REALLY appreciated the flush toilet and awesome camp shower. We appreciated all the amenities like community hammocks for star gazing, fire pit setup, cool natural wood picnic table and shelter, convenient walking paths cut through the cool but cactusy ground cover, and especially Paul’s friendly, fast, and thorough communication throughout our planning and stay. It was the perfect setup for our family getaway. We LOVED having a private site to enjoy this beautiful alpine desert and cannot wait to come back.

Peace and Sangres
Our family loved this location coming from the Front Range. It was close enough to all the attractions of the San Luis Valley but you really escaped all the crowds at the end of the day and were able to enjoy quiet, cool nights and awesome stars. Paul gave us recommendations on the perfect weekend itinerary. Would highly recommend this beautiful property.

Karma camper site
Beautiful campsite with mountains
It was my pleasure staying at Paul’s campsite. Paul sent us all details up front clearly. It was easy to find location. Paul and his wife were very welcoming. He made sure to prep everything before our arrival. Karma camper was cozy and had all required essentials. We will be coming back again if we plan to stay in area. Highly recommended spot!!

Incredible views with a great host!
Wonderful stay, couldn't recommend enough! Paul was incredibly welcoming with great directions and instructions for arrival. Once we arrived he gave us a quick rundown of the property and got us all set for the stay. The mountain views and stargazing are second to none. Great location for a quick trip to the Sand Dunes with some really helpful tips from Paul as well. It was great having access to a bathroom as well as the option to have firewood ready for you upon arrival!
Will be staying here again if I am ever in the area!
