We absolutely loved our stay. We loved the property and the river. It’s a very special place and we will be back! There was no one around for miles and true dispersed camping.

We'll be back....
Two days of 100 degrees along the Dolores...but Jody showed us where to park our 4 wheel flatbed camper under old cottonwoods and it was just great. Needed covers at night! We were alone and though close to Rt. 141, traffic was so light it made no difference. The Redrock formations surrounding her land are really breathtaking and we hope to be back again. Oh, and our dogs savored running free and meeting Jody's Dozer....

My Gateway Cabin
lovely overnight stay
this little campsite was so perfect! great hammocking trees and the cabin was exactly what we needed! super easy to spot off the main road. easy to get to even with a sudan. we met and chatted with the host, jody, for awhile and she was the sweetest lady. the canyon is absolutely beautiful. there’s no service, but we didn’t mind too much. would definitely stay again!

If you're looking for peace and quiet, dark nights and seclusion, this place is for you!!!! If you don't like being alone and you feel like you need someone else nearby, this us not the place for you.
The drive in from either direction is beautiful.
The campsite is located located underneath giant cottonwood trees between the main highway and the Delores River. Though the highway is nearby, very few cars pass by, so no need to worry about traffic noise.
There is a good fire pit and a camp shower.
My kids enjoyed playing in the nearby river.
Take whatever supplies you need.
Gateway is only 5 miles away. There is a general store there but it was closed by the time we came by.
There is one restaurant in town. Very nice and very expensive but tasty.

Breathtaking
Breathtaking views, both riverside and across the road. Private & peaceful, exactly what nature is intended for. Planning on going back and taking friends!
