Little Woodland Paradise

8 sites · RVs, Tents3 acres · Wetumpka, AL
Come stay at our charming little woodland paradise. We are located on 2.55 acres, in the country and live on-site, so if you need anything, please let us know. There are security cameras located throughout the property. The gazebo, down the hill from the house, offers a wonderful place to eat, read, drink coffee or play games. We have many games on hand for you to play that are sure to keep you laughing. The rock firepit is large and is perfect for those chilly nights. Firewood available for sale for $5 a bundle. We also have a small smokeless pit up by the gazebo. Please make sure all fires are put out and all tiki torches are extinguished before going to sleep. We do own chickens and have a cute chicken coop down the hill. They're relatively quiet, but you may hear them, during the day, as they're laying. We also have one dog, but she is in the white fenced in area and is very friendly. There are flower beds, flowering trees, bushes and wildflowers scattered among the property. If you come at the right time of year, you'll see all the beautiful blooms. We also have wild blackberries, blueberry bushes and scuppernong vines. Feel free to forage on those while you're with us. There is a lot of wildlife you could potentially see while staying here such as squirrels, chipmunks, beautiful birds of all kinds, lots of butterflies, owls, red tailed hawks, armadillos, racoons and even foxes. After a heavy rain, you will hear our small creek trickling. We have unlimited tent camping sites, with access to a water hose only. They are located down the hill, to the back of our property. Our one back in rv pad has 30 amp electric and water hookups and is located next to the house. 30 foot maximum length rig. We also have one boondocking gravel pad available, with no hookups, that is located across the driveway from our house. Quiet hours are from 10pm until 6am. Absolutely no discharging of firearms allowed at any time. Alcohol is permitted, for those 21 and older, as long as the noise level and behavior don't become a nuisance. There will be no tolerance for use of illegal drugs. Dogs are allowed as long as they aren't aggressive and not allowed to roam outside of our property. Please be sure to clean up after them. Our cute, quaint little town of Wetumpka is only 5 miles down the road. It was featured on HGTV's Hometown Takeover in 2021, was featured in the movie Big Fish and is a picture perfect town, with many locally owned shops and restaurants. It's located right on the Coosa River, where you can kayak in the summer, launch your boat or fish year round. There's also a fantastic park with a nice walking trail that goes along the river. Stop in at Coosa River Craft House or Coosa Cleaver for refreshing adult beverages and live music. Look for the Big Fish house. It's the big white house on the hill. We are 10 minutes from Lake Jordan and 30 from Lake Martin. Fort Toulouse National Historic Park is 15 minutes away. There you can tour over 6,000 years of history. You can tour the French and American Forts or the Mississippian Indian Mound site, or just relax and take a walk along the trails. Just ten minutes north of us is Swayback Bridge. There are five loop trials available, ranging from 1 miles to 11.2 miles. You can hike or bike them. The bridge is 290 feet long and does over Lake Jordan. There are many festivals that happen throughout the year in our cute little town, including the Mardi Gras Festival and Galentine's in Feb., Coosa Palooza Brewfest in April, the River and Blues Music and Arts Festival in July, the Coosa Candy Crawl in Oct., and Christmas on the Coosa in Dec. Wind Creek Casino is only 6 miles from our property, if you want to chance your luck with some gaming. We are 20 miles from Montgomery, which is jam packed with civil rights historical sites, museums, a zoo, fabulous restaurants, a riverboat cruise on the Alabama River, a sip and cycle pedal boat cruise, and a white water rafting park.

Auburn, Lake Martin, Tent or RV 🦅

1 site · RV, Tent1 acre · Dadeville, AL
Tent camp or RV park on my future house site near Auburn and lake Martin. Condition: Undeveloped, no water, no sewage disposal, no electricity. Leave no trace, pack it in, pack it out. Thanks! Location: 6 minutes from Dollar General 8 minutes from "Union" Public boat ramp on Lake Martin. 39 minutes from Jordan Hare Stadium. Description: The property is 75 feet wide and stretches 210 feet back from the road. Shaded with trees, flat, plenty of room for pitching a tent. The driveway clearing large enough for a car plus camper or RV. I don't have dimensions, but use the pictures of my Jeep for reference. For now, you must decide if your rig will fit. The driveway ground is hard, but there isn't any gravel on the drive yet, so be mindful of parking during rain or soggy conditions. There is a fire ring and a few chairs to enjoy socializing or plenty of trees to hang a hammock and relax. Basically a quiet place to relax, in an undeveloped neighborhood, and pretend you are in a backcountry tent site, 6 minutes from Dollar General :) War Eagle!

Pine And Oak Campsite

2 sites · RVs, Tents30 acres · Ladonia, AL
Escape to a private campsite in rural Alabama. The property is surrounded by forest and wildlife. There are several places to hang a hammock and plenty of room for outdoor games like cornhole. Enjoy making smores by the campfire and gazing at the stars. The city of Columbus is about 25 minutes away and offers white water rafting, zip lining, axe throwing, a river-walk, and other activities. There are plenty of lakes and rivers to go fishing. Auburn is about 40 mins away. The site offers an outhouse, fire pit, fire pit grill rack for cooking, platform (which can be used for small/medium tents, or to hold a table and chairs) and a hiking trail that is about 1/3 of a mile. Please use peat moss in the metal bucket next to outhouse to cover the waste in the outhouse. Please note, the site has a road but during very heavy rain the road can accumulate mud. Small cars are able to access campsite and park at site usually pretty easily. Please message me beforehand if you are worried about driving conditions. The property is surrounded by hunting land so please be mindful of property lines and do your best to stay on the trail. Also, expect gunshots every once in a while. Deer season has a lot more activity, and there may be more traffic a couple hundred feet from the campsite. This is normal and happens every year. Expect neighbors to practice shooting on occasion. Property also has natural wildlife like coyotes, snakes, spiders, ants, etc.. Alabama can also get very hot during June, July, August. Please prepare accordingly. My wife and I bought this property in 2021 with the goal of turning this land into a homestead. She is currently in the army. My mom and stepfather live at the front of the property and will be able to help accommodate you if needed. Meeting at the front of the property is not needed.

Old World Heritage Farm

4 sites · RVs, Tents13 acres · Five Points, AL
Once a fully wooded lot, it was hand cleared by a gentleman that still lives nearby. He dug the pond, sunk the well and hand built the main residence. here are two verified Creek Indian burial sites on the grounds, and the creek provides comforting sounds year around. We are 2A friendly and have an 100 yard open air range with range boards at 25, 50 and 100 yards. Prior notification is required for range use. Photo ID is required. Learn more about this land: From inception, Old World Heritage Farm has been about community, sharing and being outdoors with others. It's about friends, old and new; it's about nature and enjoying the experience. Come share our little piece of heaven and make new friends, or hang out with old friends. Pitch your tent in the shade of mature oaks, or down in the meadow surrounded by pines and black berry bushes. Park your self sufficient RV and horse trailer and enjoy the sights and sounds of an organic working farm. Your site will be spacious and very natural. We make every attempt to stay as natural as possible. Sites are "pick as you like" on a first come, first picked basis. Groups can be accommodated and provided with a feeling of semi privacy. We have chickens (yes, and roosters), goats, sometimes lambs, and our family dogs. Breakfast eggs from our chickens can be provided on request. There are coyotes to be heard in the distance and Whippoorwills in the surrounding woods. Put your feet in the running brook behind the shallow pond at the back of the farm. Enjoy fishing, hiking, boating and biking all within minutes of the farm.

Willow Creek Camping

4 sites · RVs, Tents50 acres · Wetumpka, AL
Come pitch a tent or hang your hammock between the beautiful hardwoods. We currently have primitive tent camping that can easily fit 4-5 tents or hammock camping. Both options sit alongside Sofkahatchee creek. We have 15 acres of untouched forest to wonder through and help you reconnect with mother nature. It’s my favorite spot for meditation and grounding. The sky is amazingly dark around here and stargazing would be at the top of my list of things I love about the property. This area is full of wildlife. Raccoons, deer, turkey, possums, armadillo, snakes, and even bears. I haven’t personally ran in to any bears but they have been sited. So, who knows what you will befriend while in the wild. The camping areas are very private. It’s part of a 50 acre lot that has recently been cleared and in the process of reseeding and preparing for a pond and farm life. So, sorry if you run in to anything that isn’t picturesque but your camp site will be beautiful and peaceful. AMENITIES: We want your stay to be as comfortable as possible! For an additional cost, we offer amenities such as tents, towels, bug deterrent, firewood, fire starters, hand warmers, s’mores kits, camping toilet, gold panning kit, games and more. If you have specific needs or requests, don’t hesitate to reach out before your arrival—we’re here to help make your experience unforgettable! There are so many little towns near by.
